Attached is the sample scenario. Play side A. Start scenario, run for couple of seconds, so that Red airbase is autodetected to your north.

Pause the game immediately, click over the airbase, and create strike mission, attack type land; you will see the target list containing two objects - single unit airfield and Stinger MANPADs. But MANPADs were never detected. Blue side is not yet aware there are MANPADs.

The problem: When the group is highlighted, involving either the airfield, or something autodetectable, not sure which, the strike is assigned for all units in the group regardless of if I know of these units or not.

You should ignore the rest of the scenario (after AWACS takes off).

This does not happen for a naval strike mission against a naval group. You only see the ships that have been detected (auto or not) in the group.

There may be something in land strike mission that is treating the land group as "detected" if one unit is set to auto-detect.
Tried changing [LEAD] for the airfield group from the MANPAD to the airfield unit, but still comes up in mission list.

I tested other combinations like group of ship + land unit, sub + aircraft, and whatnot, and there were no more issues other than the one in original post (with autodetectable land unit and undetected land unit).
