Running on windows 7 home edition --

game had always worked fine
now can't get to start of scenario, when I click 'proceed' nothing happens.
ALways, the game can't be exited -- get a error about can't write to C drive.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like permissions issue (some recent windows update may have reset your settings) - Try right clicking on the short cut and select "Run as administrator"
