Status: offline 		NEW Proble: Received Germany Reforged DVD and I get this error: Failed to open output file. I tried it on another computer and get same error. Am I the only one?

Fully updated except it wants me to update to Windows 10, which I am not going to do on this computer. It is an older Dell, and Dell has not tested Windows 10 on it. I'm buying a new one in the next couple of months anyway.

Status: offline 		Same with mine, fully updated and it wants me to update to windows 10, not until I have to. I have been fighting with Germany Reforged since it was release. No problems on other games and download I have purchased. At a lost.

Status: offline 		I had GEEKSQUAD check my computer and they tried to installed Germany Reforged. They had same issues as I did. They thought the issue lyies with the lastest update. Do I need to report this anywhere else. I thanks you for your ideas and help. Hopefully the problem will resolve it self.

Status: offline 		Floyd and JW. I know Floyd has the DVD. JW do you have one as well? Next question and it may have been asked, but my brains are mush tracking all these issues and posts. Is your Red Storm Game Matrix or Steam? If you have the Steam version of Red Storm and the Matrix DLC, you need to use your Matrix DLC serial number and register that on Steam and then have Steam install the DLC.

Now if your Game and DLC are Matrix then we need to keep digging.

Status: offline 		I reloaded Redstrom from the DVD, updates were from Matrix and the Germany Reforged was tried from the DVD, would not load. So I used the Germany Reforged downloaded that I received from the members site. I get the same error- as reported before, but after pressing continue several times the game screen comes up and the game work. I have played a little. Hope this helps. Status: offline 		Floyd are you starting from the launcher or running straight from the FPRS.exe? If not can you try starting from the FPRS.exe and let me know if you get stuck starting. Are you getting the two intro videos playing?

Status: offline 		An update on my Reforged problem: it's no longer happening!!

The only thing that has changed is that my AVG Virus checker has just done a major update.

Now I start Flashpoint and no more 'Click to Continues', starting from clicking either the exe or clicking a shortcut.

Baffled as to why, but happy.

Status: offline 		Battlerbritain, is feels like we released in the middle of a Windows OS update, AV update, Steam updates that all conspired to mess up install and play. add that to a couple PBEM++ data transfer issues and it's been a busy week.

Status: offline 		FYI, I tested clicking from the .exe and still got the needs drive bug. Interesting thing, if it matters, it doesn't matter whether I click on cancel, try again, or continue, or any combination. I click on something four times and the game starts on the 4th click. Always four. I have not played a complete game but have run a couple of test turns, and the game appears to run fine after it starts.

Status: offline 		That 4 click may be an old windows bail out for looking at the drive. Something when we start the game is grabbing or getting grabbed erroneously and throwing up the bug. The good news is we may have a working fix and it's being tested.

Status: offline 		Floyd, as noted above, we do believe we have a fix for the odd drive request bug. We will be test the latest hot fix update over the weekend and hope to ship it out to Matrix early Monday morning if all goes well.

Status: offline 		I installed the update. Same issues. I rebooted after each update, no improvement. I noticed when I ran Flashpoint Campaign Red Storm after updates 2.0.10 and 2.0.10b, the game thanks me for installing Germany Reforged. Does the screen where you select to play campaign or scenario show 2.0.10, even after update 2.0.10b? Tanks

Status: offline 		I have download 2.0.10b and installed. Same issues. I delected the entire game and checked for programs and files that had Flashpoint in their name and deleted all of them. I am able to reload Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm, updates 2.09;2.0.10 and the games runs fine. I shut down my antivirus and load Germany Reforged, got the error that I reported. Loaded 2.0.10b with anti-virus off. ran the game and got the same error and when I got the game to run after clicking 4 times on error and got to the screen asking if you wanted to play a scenario or campaign it shows 2.0.10. No ideas where to go from here??

Status: offline 		Floyd, we need to find out where the hot fix exe went. The hot fix went out late yesterday and we noticed the error last night. We will verify the installer and go from there on our end.

We are still looking at some weird installer behavior and need to chat with Matrix/Slitherine folks on it, but the holiday is going to disrupt that effort for a few days. Status: offline 		It shows as 2.10b, it runs, but it has the same startup behavior. Not fixed. I tried it from the startup screen and directly from the .exe in the game folder.

Status: offline 		I download the exe you sent and clicked run. 1st message I got was:FPRS'exe No Disk There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR1. Click on it 4 times and the it stopped. Closed the exe file and there is this message on the desktop: Fprs ,then on next line there is an X with a red circle followed by Invalid file name - %S. Clicked ok and I get this message Fprs, next line there is an X with a red circle around it and the following Access violation at address ooE9A376 on Module 'FPRS.exe.' Read address 000000D8. Only way to get rid of last message is by restarting computer. Hope this information helps. Again thanks

With respect, you were supposed to put the .exe in the game folder. I think from your description you didn't put it in the game folder.

My game does start after the four clicks and appears to run fine. I think his does, too.

I place the download in the flashpoint Campaign Red Storm game folder. If there is another folder that the download needs to be placed in, please let me know. If I don't try and start the game from the download, I get the same errors. Ran the game get the error about no disk, but after you click 4 times, the game runs but it shows 2.0.10. Should I delete the game and reload the game, update and try the download for Germany Reforged? I not real computer knowledge, so any help would be appricated.
