To clarify the weather affect on Air missions.
very poor, poor, fair, good, or excellent.

Its blizzard -very poor- for the turn, so I set :

RAF Bomber command to fly at a minimum weather of FAIR all 7 days
8th to fly at a minimum weather of POOR all 7 days

Is there a chance the weather may have a window of better weather and a mission may fly?

I noticed if you have bad weather as a cause for squadron being not available for AD, you can change staging base until most (if not all) planes have good enough weather to fly. So I think weather is set for each hex at the start of allied turn and it counts bad weather hexes on the path between starting base and staging base, while target isn't counted at all. I wonder if it's WAD.

I may be wrong as well.

Good point, weather along the entire flight path is taken into account.

So lets say it's the same weather everywhere, is there still a chance for a window of better weather that week?

Weather is set for the turn, so some particular path will have the same weather condition rating.

Target is counted.

So I'm lucky to have bad weather only in UK.

It does it a bit different. It counts weather rating between formation point (staging base) and target. Then it does separate rolls on execution for the air groups flying from their bases to the staging base. Mission cancellation messages should be in the air execution event log.

To be more precise some groups are disabled for AD due to bad weather while others can fly. When I change staging base groups which were available will now be disabled due to bad weather, while others are now available to fly. But if there was a problem between staging base and a target no groups should be available. That made me thinking what I wrote above.

The ones that are disabled in the AD are told not to fly in that kind of weather. Change them to fly anytime and they will become available.

I've seen the messages in the Air Execution log when an AD decides that today is a snow day.
