By the Steve answers, it will be similar to the CC3 campaign where you will upgrade your units and you will get more units after the battles and the different objectives. We are not sure but probably there is not a single way for finish a campaign, depending from what you make. The campaign will be played with the allies. If there is not more changes, there will not be a german campaign. But you should be able to play operations with them. We do not know too much about how the multiplayer runs.

However, the game is at development and they do not go to release it tomorrow....or in the next two months.

Maybe they are working on a last set of patches for the previous releases???
LSA: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3716292
TLD: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3387394 - WAR and TLD use the same exe code with different data/graphics/etc.

Wouldn't hurt to show that level of support as they will soon be asking customers to buy something totally new and it will need patches....

I do not know what they are making but probably nothing for xmas and before/later xmas, they will be making perhaps the multiplayer features. I say it because it is the unique feature which we do not know too much.

About the time of development, complete a new game, even if you use a previously created engine as Unity when you have not a team compound by more of 6 or 10 persons as maximun and here, it is more close from 6 members. The top ten games can take 4 years or more and they are made by teams of 30 or more members with a lot of money at their pockets. Here there are nothing of these things. By default slow is the maximun speed.

Now I would see some new information about it or screenshots but I can wait by the final game. I like more a very finished game with a similar gameplay to other CC than one thing without some feature or a lot of errors.

In the same way, I want play a CC game, I do not want play another 3D game, very arcade with a view more centered at show awesome graphics. There are thousands of these games and all them are bad wargames. With a top view where I can make some of zoom in my troops, I have enough.;)

Matrix might want to let Steve work on something where his talents can be correctly utilized.

Otherwise, don't worry about the time. Take ten years if you need it.

Yes and I would like remember how it is the first Close Combat game developed by Slitherine. All the others were developed by other companies. People attack Matrix and now Slitherine without sense because they are only the publishers from games made by other people which they were who they abandoned the CC games.

Now, I have seen from first hand how Slitherine develop its games and I am sure how they do not go release a piece of ****, they have how they have a great game in their hands and by this reason, they are taking their time and their money for develop a good game for the players.

Don't agree with you Nomada.

Matrix/Slitherine is still selling the re-releases and Steve who did all the programming is working for them (Bloody First) so if they wanted to fix the remaining bugs they could....

Maybe this time....

Let me ask you one thing, for you and for everybody. How many time does it need for to create a new game? a new game with a singleplayer mode, a complete campaign, multiplayer and everything written from zero. Yes they used the Unity3D engine but what is a engine for you? it is not more than a wheel and all the other things must be written from zero.

Usually 4 years is the time with teams formed by 30 persons and a lot of money. Here there are a team of six.

Nomada....you don't understand what im saying. I don't give a rats ass how long it takes for them to build this game. when they DO release it I want it to work and be bug free. I don't want to play test it for them. i want multiplayer and I don't want there stupid lobby system they have now.

up to this point every CC has been a mess when they release it.

You sound again continue thinking how it is a fault from the publisher when they have not developed the game.

However, what do you wait from a 20 years old engine? because all the previous CC published were made with the same basic poor code. I am sure how we will not see the same problems with the last engine.

About multiplayer, I am not interested at it. I want a good singleplayer and it is not very difficult with a engine from 2016.
