The secondary one, while still important because it's the source of most of Japan's oil is, of course, secondary to the primary one.

The preservation of the Japanese Home Islands is now Japan's primary objective. It's secondary objective is maintaining those conquests that assist in meeting the primary objective.

Germany for now, at least, has stopped the Western Allies cold on the Western and Austrian Fronts. But at the cost of lost territory and units in the East. Now, German must divert resources to the Eastern Front to stabilize that situation.

Dontiz has convinced Hitler of a bold plan to sortie his u-boat fleet (7 units at Keil), disrupt allied convoy lines and end the turn. To this end, Germany takes a combine and Italy and Japan pass.

The most capable of the seven remaining German u-boat units manage to sink an allied CP and force three more to abort. However, the u-boat unit pays for this with its life.

The USN uses their 3 naval moves of a combine to move down into the 0-box 4 aircraft carriers who lost their air wings this turn. This will allow the 6 movers to get back to San Diego at the end of the turn and the 4 movers back to Pearl. This should allow all four carrier to be resupplied with aircraft next turn.

The USN elects no combat, however, the Japanese do but fail to make contact.

The USN elects to try to initiate combat against the Japanese in the South China Sea. However, it's the Japanese that find, surprise and isolated USN forces in the 0-box.
