Hi, Turn 121 Bryansk Front disbanded? Is this supposed to occur? It put 5 Armies without a higher HQ (they went to STAVKA) Although it costs no admin to assign them to other front it would place other fronts over CP. Because Axis never advanced far enough to unfreeze several MD I am already short of fronts. To reassign all the adjoining armies to other fronts would take months of admin and adjusting.
If this is supposed to happen some warning would have been nice.

Hi, OK in book it disbands in 10/43 then reforms in 3/44 putting Armies in air for 5 months? I think we are following history a little too much with this. Soviets have to refrain from using 1 front (Steppe Front) and then assign Bryansk Front units there. There are just not enough fronts (or Front CP is too low) But now I know it will happen.

I read the thread - interesting observations.
Re: Complaints about the beta changing things. Answered many times - stay on the version you want for the game you are playing. I know it is hard because each beta seems to have one really cool feature.
Re: Game balance. Against quality Soviet player, even very good German players should do worse than historical. Within the parameters of WITE, a German victory should be as impossible as it was historically.
I find playing with moral to get a more fun experience as German interesting given the slavish attention to historical detail in the OOB.
I recently re-installed WITE 1.08.07 via Steam. the patch reports that WITE is not installed and annoyingly exits. What is the trick?

To get the public Beta on Steam you have to activate it under game properties -> Betas

Apparently one needs a beta access code to opt into betas. Where does one get that?

ooops. That's not it. The drop down allowing access to public betas just does not work on my installation.

Or maybe steam still does not know about 08

You don't need a code for the public beta, access code is only required for closed betas.
Just enable public beta and let Steam verify local WitE files.

Can we have button that shows type of unit killed in battle, in combat details screen? Similar to War in the west . plz . Its uncomfortable to look at totall losses screen each time

I am using v1.08.08 seems to have a problem with one of my rail repair units in the south will repair some hexes and not others it has its full MPs was ok until 2 turns ago the weather is clear looks like it a bug. supply is fine? game is on hold until I can fix this.

Maybe you missed on hex and you're now on unconnected rail? This means that after a few hexes away from a really working (connected) railhead you won't be able to repair the rail further east. What do you see when you press R (with no units selected)?
