My compliments to scenario designer. Don't want to give too much away. but really liked you changing my objectives mid stream during one of the early scenarios in Soviet Corps. It literally happened right as I said to myself "I'm going to get wiped out"!
Very nice.
Also was thinking I'd been given too much prestige.. but no... sweating!
Thanks

Nice subsequent events. Very clever manipulation of player to recreate historical situation. Designer who are you? I'm impressed
Speak up!
And thanks

p.s. I've a feeling I'm doomed anyway but great fun.

Thanks, I will pass on the compliments.

BTW it is the same scenario designer who did the original Panzer Corps: Wehrmacht, Afrika Korps and Allied Corps.

Look up Kresimir in the Credits under scenario design. ;-)

Agree, the scenarios are interesting and varied. I'm up to Korsun and having a blast with it. Nice mix of defensive and offensive scenarios, and some that are intriguingly mixed, like Caucasus where you're retreating from one direction and attacking a different direction. Stalingrad is very well done, with the perimeter shrinking and compressing your troops into an uncomfortably small enclave!

The only one so far where I thought the design didn't work well was the expanding "zone of operations" concept in Operation Uranus... I like it in theory, but the fact that you have no ability to even scout ahead into the "Dark Zone" feels artificial, and leaves you open to a very strong German counterattack by troops sitting one hex away once the initial objectives are taken, but the player has no ability to "see" that it's coming, even though the troops are right there.

Well done designers.

Agree. My only concern at this point is that the game seems a bit too easy compared to prior campaigns. Having essentially unlimited prestige allows buying the best of class, which is very very very good when it comes to Soviet tanks. I imagine this is trying to communicate the resource richness of the Soviets but I more enjoyed the German campaigns where every prestige point counted.
I had a hard time with many of the German campaigns but not this one (I play one level below the top level in all these campaigns and play iron man (no save srumm).
