I am watching the A 10 Warthog special. This is one butt kicking plane. I really hope they don't phase it out like I have heard of. Conflicts of the present and future need this type of plane. If we are short of money , reduce the you know what rolls, this plane saves lives.

The F-35 will never be able to do what the A-10 does, loiter and kill. To borrow from the old Timex watch commercials, the A-10 takes a licking and still keeps ticking. Not sure what the Smithsonian has showed, but there are incredible videos on You Tube of the plane being all shot up, but bringing its pilot home safe.
