Not a Brigantine. A Brig has two masts. This has three. This is a Barkantine.

THIS is a Brigantine , or in New England "A Jack assed Brig".

So if both main masts had square sails would it then be a "brig" instead of a "brigantine"?

That's correct.

She was written out of the last 2 seasons so that Kirk could be free for other things.

My understanding is that she was let go for substance abuse issues. She had cleaned up enough to return as a officer in some of the movies.

I know I didn't speak the obvious, I do have standards after all. I'm just saying if she pounded on my door wanting to explain Jehovah Witness stuff I wouln't complain too loudly. After all she does have nice knockers, am I right? Oh, the unwashed hoi polloi I must contend with. She's got a cute hat too.

Two things:

A) That's not the River Festival - these guys are celebrating the start of another balmy English Summer

B) Congratulations. There aren't many from over the pond that can correctly spell Worcesterchiesterchesstershire

Canucks having visited London ~ refer to it as the "outside patio" of the "local" on the banks of the River Thames.

He cheated - he read the label on a bottle of Worcesterchiesterchesstershire sauce (after he had finished his fifth ale ...).

Speaking of which, if this guy isn't a Vulcan he's a friggin' Romulan, man!

Bill Nye's start in television was on a local Seattle show called Almost Live. I hung out with one of the other cast once and he said Bill Nye is just as weird or more weird off camera.

That's Bill Nye - as in Bill Nye the Science Guy? Never realised he was a real person. I thought he was just a made up character in Ellen's Energy Adventure.... Well well you learn something everyday.

Yup, he's real. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and was working as an engineer at Boeing when he started doing the gigs on Almost Live. I believe he was a classmate of Bill Maher the American comedian.

Bill

That how the Poms say it too.

Reminds me of a Port Hedland trip back around 1980.
Midnight
100+ degrees
Pushing 100% humidity
Noisy Aircon.

Solution
Swimming pool
Deck Chairs
Plenty of Emu Export Beer.

A while ago I saw something flash by my window and heard it land under the window. I figured it was a branch a squirrel had pruned off the maple tree and didn't bother to stick my head out to see what it was. A few minutes later I heard a flapping noise and looked out. Flying off across my yard was a full growed Cooper's hawk. She was a big 'un, unlike the juvenile I'd been seeing. I wish they'd get back to work. My garden is overrun with rabbits and squirrels. I'm thinking of getting a little terrier to run them off.

Shouldn't you get something more suitable for a Gorn, and a appropriate fence.

I'm not interested in keeping other gorns out my yard, just things that would retreat from a bit of yapping. What is that, a monitor lizard? Some of my friends, while being able to accept my green scaliness would object to sharing a yard with a monitor lizard.

It is difficult enough to suffer from the discrimination on this planet for such as ourselves, to associate us with creatures whose main weapon is foul breath, that's just going to far. I use mouthwash everyday. Crest Complete I think it is called.

What was your monitor trying to get over the fence for? To eat your neighbors coon cat or the little girl playing there?

I'm starting to get really peeved about all the discrimination in this forum. Some of you think that just because I'm green and scaly that you have a license to abuse me. We've come a long way and that just isn't so anymore. Quit it.
