Well, if you didn't know, Capt. Kirk is only 5 inches tall, and I'm only 6 inches. It's a good thing that bird didn't see me.

Around here they frequently come out on ambulance runs even when they are entirely superfluous. I get it if it's a car accident and somebody might need to be cut out of their car but it used to be you'd never see a city ambulance running anywhere without a pumper on its tail.

Reminds me of Woody Allen's 'If Jesus was a carpenter, how much would he charge for bookshelves?'

Hmmm, Lecivius, isn't that a book of the Bible? As a matter of fact, I seem to remember that question from Lecivius 2:27.

Anachronistic phrases still stubbornly used by yours truly:

"I haven't seen him in a coon's age."

"Knew him back when Jesus was still a carpenter."

Kitty Kat pic was taken last week about a mile down the road by a game cam. Been hearing them and seeing signs for years

If you ride a bike around there (motion triggers attacks) wear a football helmet and have a Bowie knife on you. They usually kill by biting the neck but if they get your skull in their mouth they will crush it.

Wearing a couple of these might be a good idea too.

Try:

'That went out with button down shoes.'

'I haven't seen that since Custer was a corporal.'

Pounce attack then the head/neck - 1st turn Surprise. I worry about my redbone hound more than myself, she has no fear. Might have to get her a spike collar. She has different baying depending on critter and threat level. Iam sure she has sensed the cat before judging by the way she has acted a few times.

In a separate note : A large migration occurred out of Toronto Canada area this week.

These birds migrated on mass and "destroyed" a significant area of Arlington Texas

Word has it that discarded beer cans marked their swath of destruction.

Errmmm yes..

However that was subsequently proven not to be "these birds specifically" but rather a rare and strange lone creature known the "rabid wild eyed fan" native to Hamilton Ontario Canada.

Hamilton is famous for its smoke stacks, industrial harbour (yes Canadian Harbour), defunct steel mills, and lone brewery that produces an extremely marginal beverage. It is strongly believed that environmental factors have some sort of impact upon the creatures of that vicinity.

Watch out Cleveland; I understand these birds are now headed for you

What a strange world we live in where wild rabid wild-eyed Canadian fans seek to pillage the sweet, unsuspecting rubes of Cleveland.
