How about placing A on their CV? If it aborts, future rounds are much easier for us.

What were you saying about sending the German ships elsewhere?

Fighting through would have given us a chance to fight with their upper boxes with our planes (if we would have rolled low enough).

Or, if we rolled high, they could have Max'd damage against us.

The loss of the German BB is a pity. However, you are doing quite good by hitting the CW transports. How many TRS are on the production track for the Wallies (including the US)? How many TRS and AMPH do the Allies (including the US) have now?

Has the US realized already that it should be emptying the force pool of those units by now? Or are they building "shiny" stuff only?

CW has 3 Trans on the map (1 Dutch), 2 in the repair pool and 1 completing 1st phase build in M/A 41.

France has 1 Trans on the map.

US has 4 on the map and 3 in the Construction Pool.

I think you guys have to be very happy with the fact that the USSR is not doing anyting at the moment. They don't seem to be at war with Japan, don't seem to want to grab Persia and Iraq. They also don't seem to consider to attack the Turks. And with a Sitzkrieg going on in 1941 that's pretty astounding. I miss a certain amount of proletarian agression where Stalin is concerned. He's to much fixed on his own position and seems scared by what Germany can do.

Stalin is overestimating the Euroaxis...

USSR conquered Persia in 1939 and demanded Finnish Borderlands in 1940. But I am happy that they are retreating and waiting for German attack.

Okay Mein Kapitan,

I don't know about the Germans but the Italians will take a combined move as there are Transports and/or CP's to try for in St Vincent, West Med and East Med. The Japs will do a combined to shift another black print Inf to China, ready to replace a white print one and move a couple of units.

Looks like we are on same page.

I suggest the following for Europe:

Germany land, Italy naval.

Italian Erone in Spain ground strikes Gibraltar. If intercepted by CVP, Bf109 will intercept. I can use AA gun in attack to negate ground support.

Italian CA to East Med box 3 to initiate combat.
Maybe Italian CP to Italian coast, can be escorted by BB and other BB can go to box 4. Fighter can intercept to box 0 leaving La Spezia unguarded but turn end is 70%.

Axis initiates combat in CSV, West Med and East Med, trying to put Gibraltar OOS.

Are the Germans going to try another attack on Gibraltar? If not, wouldn't the Erone be better adding to the Nav factors in St Vincent?

Germany will attack Gibraltar no matter how naval combat goes. Erone has 20% chance to disorganize that last Allied unit in Gibraltar, it would help a lot.

If we get extra +1, there is a small chance to take Gibraltar even if it is in supply.

How about if you send Italian CA next, if they find it stay in box 4 and try to send BB to East Med.

Finally Gibraltar falls.

Plans for Europe for the end of the turn:

-Take Portugal
-Rebase all remaining 4 range fighters and NAV's to sink ships in Bay of Biscay
-Move units to Northen Spain and start pushing CW units to sea
-Rebase Italian fleet to Gibraltar
-Germany will keep their best fighter near Gibraltar to protect Italian ships
-I also consider keeping one AA unit adjacent to Gibraltar (I have one unit there now and 4-1 AA gun is coming next turn)

Edit: If we manage to empty CSV, I will ground strike HQ's and try to push to Africa

EIJAA!

Congrats guys!

Good plan going forward. The 88's now belong on the eastern front (or temporarily in northern Spain)...good to put the 4-1AA near Gib.

Bring the German fleet to Lisbon. Repair and complete every naval unit you can asap (including the Graf Zep and some cvp's(get that 4 range 109G!)...consider converting the Seydlitz into a CVL).

Prepare a plan of action in the Med (post northern Spain/Morocco).

When are the PARA's and MAR arriving for Germany and Italy? There's a far more difficult hex to take and that's Tangiers...

Also, what about Egypt? And what about the Italian Navy? In what shape are they? I rather spend German build points on Italian ships arriving in the Med than on German ships arriving in the North Sea, especially if it will take a year to finish German ships and the Italian repair pool is full of ships. Any Italian TRS available? What are the naval assets for the Italians at the moment?

Sure, Portugal should be taken and northern Spain captured. But Suez and Tangiers are more important. If you really close the Med, than we are talking. Now, you are about half way...

Point is, a good CW player doesn't need to retake the Rock, for as long as the back door to the Med is open and can be used by them. And don't forget: the front door isn't still totally closed too...

Sure, the capture of Gib is good and there is still time. But time becomes precious and one shouldn't get distracted by changing the target. And that target is: close the Med. And close it totally...

The Soviets? They are not important at this moment. The last picture I've seen from that front is that they are far, far away from the common border with Germany. It will take them a lot of combined impulses to get back into more aggressive positions.

The Italian repair pool isn't exactly short of customers.

The Richelieu is a particular good BB to repair for Italy. And if I see the other two Italian BB's and the three fast cruisers sitting there, I think German build points should be given to Italy to increase the Euroaxis fleet. Good ships all in all...

Is Tirana primary supply source for Italy? If Italy has units in Tirana, but does not have CP or TRS in Italian coast, are they in supply?

It should be a secondary supply source for Italy.

Unless the Germans have obe going spare, I suggest moving the Rome Mil to Toulouse or Bordeaux, so it can be railed to a suitable port in anticipation of the Trans being available next turn.
