I think that, although a little risky, that was the right decision in the CSV. Whilst another 1 v 10 would be most unwelcome, with no aircraft flying we would be wrong to try and play safe.

It was more the principle of the thing. Impossible situation for RN to back down here.

With that said I think there is no practical benefit to intercept. Bismarck is damaged and Germany has shown no inclination of building a surface fleet so therefore I doubt that Bismarck will be repaired even if she reach port.
warspite1

I think the effects of taking Gibraltar are (to an extent) nullified without a fleet to use (although they could use subs and air I guess). But she had led a charmed life to date and I fully expect the Bismarck to be repaired

1) Turn is likely to end anyway.
2) I rather that Axis ends the turn so that the initiative moves one step towards the Allies.
3) CW need to adjust the convoy lines.

I was thinking that USSR should remove one or two of the bombers so they can redeploy the following turn. If so they must be stationed on cities. Maybe something to consider?

Ormster should we be saving more oil further east away from German clutches?

What about starting an AMPH with the French? or an INF?

Soviet Builds
HQ INF (5)
Mech (5)
INF (3)
FTR (3)

Reinforcement
Assign a pilot to I16(I7)
Assign a pilot to TB-3

Placement
TB-3 in Novgorod
I-16 in Leningrad
4-5 MOT in Vitebsk
7-3 INF in Smolensk

ChiComm
5-4 MTN in Ningsia
1-5 DIV in Ningsia

Remove Air
SB-2RK to Reserve Pool

Question: If one wants to remind themselves of how many pilots they have in reserve at any point during the game, how is this done? I know how many I have now - but will forget by tomorrow..... I also want to ensure the program gives me the pilot for the aircraft I put into reserve.

You can see the pilots available by looking at the reserve pool.

The Russian oil should always be saved in the middle of Siberia. It should never be anywhere where anyone can get to it.

Also, I think a French AMPH is a wonderful idea. The French should build nothing but TRS, AMPH, and LND, to take advantage of action limits. An INF is just a pure waste. It can't attack with the CW or the US without causing a -1 for having two major powers in an attack.

I like to save some oil at forward locations where it can be used to reorganize oil dependent units that are cut from the main oil supply.

So whaddya reckon? A couple in Leningrad, a couple in Sevastopol but nothing else further west than a line Novgorod-Smolensk-Bryansk-Kursk-Rostov.

I would consider one or two in each of Leningrad and Moscow. And one more in either Sevastopol or Rostov. And then, maybe, one in Archangelsk.

Then can be moved again after they are placed, if the need arises.

Interesting that the Germans are on the defensive vis-a-vis the USSR. As we have discussed before, after Gibraltar where do they go if not the Soviet Union?

Strange.

It will be transferred in the production step and will be available for production this turn.

One amendment to my Soviet orders. If you have not done it yet, please don't re-organise the 2nd Armoured. I think this way we do not use an oil and he can be re-organised next turn?

We play this game to slowly.

Because you have forgotten that we, or rather USSR, throw away two oil each turn because they can not be saved or used for production. But both can be used for reorganization. You can see them listed as 'idle' in the resource & production summary.

US, on the other hand, gives away all their superfluous oil, so they do it the way you suggest.

I am going to suggest that when we get situations like this the other person be allowed to make decisions.

As for the oil, how do we ensure that the program uses the superfluous oil and not one of the saved ones?

I have to remember to click on the right oil resource or the program will select the first listed. This is toughest when multiple oil is used because the program gets back to the first listed each time a oil is depleted.

I should have transferred it before production but I didn't find the right command for it. Using 'Lend Lease Air Units' from the menu was so obvious that I missed it.

This turn France complete their TRS.

Currently US trade 2 BPs to France per turn. Since US convoy points can now been used to transport the build points this can increase. Although I am not sure we should. Thoughts?

Note that France can only receive one units per turn as reinforcement.

Do we have enough garrison units in Syria or North Africa? I wonder if buying a few INF is not a bad idea just to stop easy wins for the Axis.
