Congratulations Portugal. A well deserved win.

And Pepe, what a hero. Amazing.

Cheers.

Peskpesk in our kicktipp group first joined the 'matrix' group instead the matrix16 group. This was not noticed until after the first match so those points along with all the bonus points were lost. I just checked to see how many points extra he should have had if it were not for that mistake and it was 22 extra points. Enough for a honourable 4th place in our friendly competition. Enough to beat me and win a pizza.

OK, he can get your place or any other place for that matter, as long as I keep my hard-earned 3rd place!

WE DID IT !!

Finally !

I think we have had in the past teams that played "better" football, and we deserved better in 1984, 2000, 2004, 2006...

But today we had luck on our side. And not only luck, but skill and organization - great defense (Rui Patricio was outstanding. Pepe, José Fonte and William Carvalho were rocks; Raphael Guerreiro and João Mário played very well,...), and great capacity to stop the french midfield, and...luck . FINALLY WE WON !!

Two sad notes:
- Ronaldo's lesion seems bad, and Payet did not even get a foul !!
- The french were not capable to light the Eiffel tower with Portugal's flag colours, as they did after all the other games... bad losers... But whatever, the CUP is ours !

Thank you all for your congratulations and congratulations to th1207, the winner of our competition.

Cheers !

Did you do something like lighting your monuments with greeks colors in 2004? I don't remind that

True. Congratulations.

It will be hard tomorrow at work with all our portuguese friends and collegues proud of their victory...

But I'm sure we will gather alltogether around some beer (or champagne!)
