AGN Turn 6 End Intel Status

Instead of another frontal attack on the Luga River defenses, AGN does a flanking maneuver along the soviet left flank and moves behind their strongest positions.

Romanian Front Turn 6 End

Two attempts to cross the Dneiper River fail. Soviet defenses are getting stronger and our strength is declining due to supply constraints. 1st Panzer group approaches the outskirts of the DZ cities. The Romanians also capture Odessa and destroy 3 ARM and HI factories.

Turn 6 OB Status

We have inflicted over 1 M casualties, yet the Intel estimates show the Soviets OB having 1/2 M more troops than when the campaign started. Their numbers of tanks and aircraft are about 50% of the campaign start. However, they have the same number of guns. Our OB is about the same for troops but we have lost over 1000 AFV.

Turn 6 Air Casualties

This week we lost 53 level bombers and over 80 dive bombers. There was a coordination problem with the fighter escorts, none of them showed up! It appears we need to modify air doctrine too ensure the fighters escort our bombers.

Again, the Soviets counterattack the lead panzer division and force it to retreat. +1 combat bonus to the rescue is becoming a staple for M60. The Soviets continue to improve their Leningrad defenses but give up on pushing our Panzers back over their Luga River defenses.

Romanian Front Turn 7 Start Intel Summary

The Soviets continue their determined defense of the Dneiper River north and west of the DZ cities. However, it appears they have not defended the River south of these cities. They may be counting on the marshes to hold up our progress.

AGN Turn 7 End Intel Status

AGN continues its slow progress towards Leningrad and manages to isolate 3 Soviet units west of the city. Stalin must have ordered the city held at all costs as they continue to commit their best units to the defense of the city.

28th Corps reaches the Baltic Sea and isolates Tallin from the rest of the country as well as closing the trap on some soviet units.
