"Conan Exiles" an ambitious Action-RPG-Open World offering from Funcom! It looks great with alot of features

...Early Access could be a problem

...from the developers: "You are an exile, outcast and downtrodden, sentenced to walk in a barbaric wasteland where the weak are crushed and the strong survive. Here you must fight to survive, build and dominate either on your own or in multiplayer on public and private servers.

Hungry, thirsty and alone, your very first battle is that against the harsh environment. Scavenge or hunt animals for food. Chop down trees, mine for minerals, and harvest resources to build weapons and tools. Build a shelter to survive the scouring sandstorms that sweep across the burning desert. Journey through a vast, seamless world alone or together with other players, and build entire settlements and strongholds to withstand fierce invasions.

March forth into battle and wage war against your enemies as you bring down their walls and invade their cities. Sacrifice enemy players on the altars of the gods and shift the balance of power your way. Unleash your fury in savage, fast-paced combat and execute bloody and bone-crushing attacks that will see heads rolling and limbs flying.

Open-world survival MMOs are so popular at the moment but I haven't really found one that's grabbed me. I do like Funcom's back catalogue though, so I'm fairly optimistic about this.

Yes ... but is this element developed to the same or a similar level as the multiplayer? My impression -- admittedly, only that -- is that these MMOs have single player mainly as a sort of demo version of the "real" game which is unapologetically MMO. If the single player game is genuine then I'd be interested. But I'm skeptical.

Good point! Hopefully it will have a true 'single game' element, otherwise I will probably pass on it...MMO's are really not my cup of tea.

Ark: Survival Evolved has single player element. In it player is lone human in sizable island populated by dinosaurs, giant snakes, and other nasties. Good luck.

I make a guess single player in Conan game is something like that.
