Status: offline 		VP = 49 Brun assaulted, Vienna and Bromberg occupied Getting close to the 39VP target set by game
Trucks = 158 / 186, some concern, but I am mass disbanding units and expect improvement
AP Usage = disbanded 15 units including an army and reorged a front
Destroyed Units = 3 German divisions caught behind MLR and could not retreat
AFV / SP losses = 99 and 48 / 189 and 9 still good
Airframe losses = 49 / 419 limited combat this turn

Germany executes a tactical retreat and straightens MLR east of Berlin. Retreated 3-4 hexes on average and
invalidated any attempts at sustained combat

1. Russian forces constrict the Brun pocket from the north east and south. Brun falls.
2. Russians do not attempt to cross Sudaten or Ore mountains, as the defenders are in sufficient strength
3. Russian forces on the Berlin plain race to catch enemy withdrawing but cannot mount any offensive action of note
4. Front reorganization functionally complete. Working to right size the fronts and get units out of Stavka

This next turn, I am going to fly airbase attack missions only and then turn on ground support once I attack.

This setting prevents mass airframe losses in interdiction attacks, where his fighters tend to be the most effective.

Trucks = 174k / 214K continuing to disband units and realign commands
AP Usage = disbanded 4 armies 26 units and still aligning fronts
Destroyed Units = 6 enemy divisions surrendered this turn
AFV SP Losses = 246/54 German --- 425/43 Soviet
Airframe Losses = 25G / 84S Almost no serious combat. Air force has few engagements.

Germany retreats to the Oder defense, leaving only rearguard units east of the river, which are pushed aside. the final battle is nearly here.

1. Enemy rear guard units have taken to occupying VP locations and forcing an attack / surrender, slowing down the red advance. Liegnitz pocket is the current example, where 8 enemy divisions are trapped
2. This past turn was mostly a battle of maneuver. The large number of combats due east of the Oder were not material
3. Virtually no air combat this turn. Cycled out low morale units and most of the fighters went to the reserve. Still there was little need for the air force
4. Red forces attempt to pinch Goerlitz - Reichenburg pocket but fail to close it
5. Red forces are poised to push through the Ore mountains this next turn or two
6. In an odd twist of fate the 3rd tank army becomes the 3rd Guard tank army. How about that...

Status: offline 		While there are 8 turns left, he really has to have Berlin surrounded in 5, or 6 at the very latest because he will need time to batter down the Berlin defenses. At least that was my experience, with changes to how well fortified units in cities perform, even that may not be enough time.

The attack axis west of Chemnitz is intriguing and might yield some surprising results, but he obviously knows you have tanks there and the rifle corps are lagging behind.

I wouldn't count on any push north through the mountains to Dresden. That city is best taken driving from the east southeast securing the east bank of the Elbe and surrounding it. But you seem to understand that due to the relative inaction along that route south of the city.

Some concern over the sheer # of units here as they're all needing supplies. If it erodes the CV of the leading corps in combat, this might be a negative. Still, hard to tell as we are seeing what has been the typical 50,000 foot level picture. But I'm guessing you could take a million off of here easily and accomplish much the same.

One thing Everest needs to do right now is consolidate the artillery. It's going to require 5-6 full stacks of artillery divisions for the final assault, assuming the city can be surrounded. As it appears from here, the artillery is scattered. It must be centralized.
