Nothing happening here - other than the navy getting the hell out of the way of Axis aircraft....

United States

I can't get the US units into the war because I've run out of MPP - what a muppet...

Anyways all infantry and aircraft are now reinforced and upgraded, the Spanish and Swedes have been wined, dined and schmoozed, so next turn the

Yanks are Coming!!

United Kingdom
More of the same. The reinforcement of units in Malta is incredibly slow....

Soviet Union
The Soviets begin the research of Advanced Tanks. They buy a tactical bomber and two corps.

The snow hits the Soviet Union which appears to slow things up for the Axis. There was a few reductions to strength points dished out but no loss of units.

Once the Soviets are consolidating, you can reduce the convoy from UK to Murmansk - this will provide the UK with some more MPP it desperately needs. You can also adjust convoys between US and UK to your needs.

I'm a bit worried about the fact that you didn't man the fortified positions in Karelia against the Fins. It's imperative for the Soviets' survival that Leningrad doesn't fall.

I didn't think of it to be honest - but then the Finns are no more 'upgraded' than the Soviets - but I still can't beat them...

The US are being urged to invest in diplomacy with the Saudis to improve income from oil.

A decision is required from the British - do they want to set up commando units to 'set Europe ablaze'? Yes please.

After some respite in the last turn things have turned bad for the Soviets once again - and with the Germans across Suez, are now desperate for the British. Luga falls to the Germans and the way to Leningrad from the south is now open.

The Germans have formed an Egyptian unit following the conquest of that country and Germany constructs the Atlantic Wall.

In a case of extreme optimism never before witnessed in warfare, the Allies demand unconditional surrender by the Axis..... good luck with that.

The Italian IX Corps has established a bridgehead over the lower Don. I know this is stupid, but I am going to attempt to push the Italian infantry back over the river.

For this operation the Soviets employ the 77th and 21st Rifle Corps who will support the main attack by the 5th Shock Army.

The result fell far short of expectations. The Italian infantry remain stubbornly in place over the Don, their bridgehead intact.

Taking action anywhere else would be suicide. The North in particular looks like its about to burst open at any moment.

The Soviets buy a mechanised unit, an army and a garrison.

After the winter, the Germans will still get some ground in Russia in 1942. It's not yet time to strike back at them. What you need before going on the offensive is Infantry Weapons level 2 for the UK and Infantry level 3 for the Soviets. Getting to the German level (at least) of "advanced aircraft" is mandatory too.

additionally, and again if its not too late, youve got to make the front as contiguous as possible there or the Narva defenders mat get surrounded and cutoff from reinforcements and destroyed

EDIT- better yet withdraw the narva defenders completely theyre very exposed

Could you elaborate on this decision a bit more? Is it because you want to keep the supply lines short (i.e. reinforcing with additional units from the Persian Gulf)? Did you feel you couldn't dig in enough to keep the Germans at bay at El Arish (the two hex bottleneck just beyond the Suez)?

Great AAR, and must say you add great humor into it.

I do not want to give too much away as you learn your way but give 2 points.

However a HQ is required in the Middle East for you to succeed otherwise you will lose it as you are. You can get away with none in Russia for the most part (however they do help odds) but supply is not enough in Egypt or the Middle East. I know you lost yours early but the 1st thing you should of done is bring another down there.

Also looking at your income it looks like you are not investing or very little in industry tech. British should be around 300, US around 400, and Soviets around 800 if you invested a couple chits in each early. This is always my 1st or 2nd investment as Spying/Intelligence also helps to increase your odds of hitting your tech quicker.

Good luck, and will continue to watch.
