Don't let my post count full you...Slitherine merged my log ins and I lost my posts. I have been around since the early days (16 years) and love this game.

I am a high volume player looking for an opponent who can get out 3 or 4 turns a day. I play either side well, though I'd kill for a game as the allies as most people don't want to be the Empire.

I have completed a game or two in my career and surrendered in too many to count.

They don't call me Carrierbane for nothing.

I'm also more then willing to take over and abandon game....either side as long as the position isn't too hopeless. I'm pretty sick of playing 1942 over and over and over again.

lol...once you get past that first turn or two...it's really not that hard to grind out turns. Usually takes me 20 minutes at most.

Once ops are in motion you really just have to check up on things and adjust if your opponent surprises you.

I never really understand why people spend hours on each turn.

Of course that could be THE reason I lose so many carriers so quickly :P

Twenty minutes works in 1942. Not so much in 1944.

In 12 years of this game, I think I have gotten to 44 3 times :-). I'm a rookie at the end game.

I'm in the summer of 1944 now. A turn is often two hours.

Just a second game...I still have very limited experience as the allied player (and suck because of it). I think if I could get a game rolling (2 day turns) that was fairly quick and get out of 42...that would be the goal.

Open to most rules, my only one is the PP rule for japanese players...got to find people who use the PPs as intended...;-) which always prove difficult.

I guess I'm probably not the opponent that your looking for. Unfortunately I've just not reached the point where I can competently play the Japanese. Heck, I'm not even able to play them INcompetently. Tactically or strategically I have no problem. I've just never been able to get my head around that "Factory Manager in the Pacific" thing. Maybe someday once I finally master completely the allied side (I've never had a game complete till wars end , despite dozens of attempts). Sorry. But good luck.

yeah i get that. But I usually ignore the factory stuff myself when I play as the Japanese. It competent enough to run on it's own. I tweak it here and there depending on what my general game strategy is (big bomber vs fighter heavy). But I learned a long time ago the game is a lot more enjoyable if you don't get too bogged down in the details.

Im a pretty good Japanese player...certainly not great..but I play for the day to day strategy as much as the over all I gotta win stuff. Very few players are going to win as the Japanese.

If you ever do decide to have another go at playing Japan , please keep me in mind for the allied side!

I'd like to start with you the Great Campaign as Japan; I'd prefer 1 day turn to start, please, then maybe in the following we could agree for longer turns. You could jump in in my current game if you want, end April 1942, to shorten the way; not compromised at all for the Allies, on the contrary too much advantaged, except for merchant and escort ships losses.

I'm ready. Flexible hours.

Edit: and currently plenty of time
