The AI is state of the art and as good as it gets. Hats of to Hubert for all his work. That being said, it remains an AI. Here's my AAR in a nutshell: Since I 'm a veteran SC player, I decided to give myself a challenge and started my first game as the axis in 1944. I decided my only shot was to try and defeat the landing in France before it got a foothold. The invasion was defeated by October, mainly because the AI lands HQs right in front of German units or very easy to get at. I eliminated 5 HQs during the initial turns and then it was just mopping up. In the East, I retreated roughly to the 41 border to get a shorter front line, better supply and good terrain. From there, the line can be held indefinitely without any major difficulties. In Italy, the AI is not getting anywhere. Come October 44 and it got very predictable and not very challenging. Next I would have cleard Italy and then turned East eventually. I decided to quit. I've also been playing around with the 39 scenario on hotseat, just getting ready for PBEM, which I hope to see very soon. Bottom line, the SC series are unrivaled, but AI remains AI.
