Oil

With our inability to make any gains in the Caucasus region or the Middle East, we are beginning to experience mild oil shortages lowering our overall MPP.

Moscow

Axis Forces are preparing for a final assault on the Russian capital of Moscow. I have re-stationed air forces from Tunisia and Stalingrad to support the assault, and gathered Tanks from our victorious Army Group South. This may be the final thrust to bring the Allies to her knees.

Eastern Front

Winter has set in and the Axis offensive is halted in snow.

The Fall of Moscow

Even through the winter conditions, the Russians are no match for Axis air superiority and superb Tank formations which quickly overran the city.

Victory

Russia capitulated after losing all 3 of her Major City's and offered to sue for peace which I gladly accepted, ending the war in Major Victory!

Despite some painful mistakes In North Africa I was very happy with the outcome of this game.

I am happy I can return to making changes to this mod, which is developing at a nice rate. Expect to see Romania, and Finland as new Majors (removing Poland). I also believe the USSR AI needs some help, and perhaps a larger UK Navy is in order as well. Much to do, thanks all for reading!

Thanks for the AAR, it is very much appreciated, it is nice to see how others play the game on such high difficulty level.

And you have had some odd things happening: Spain being invaded, Yugoslavia joining Axis, Swiss taking gold... none of this happened in the 4 games I have finished so far. Good to see there is so much variety.

I have been following along on this AAR (along with some others) to help me decide if I want to purchase this game or not.

I have to say I am dismayed that the CW AI just seems to punch out ground units like crazy at a time when their fortunes should not be so good. The force in Portugal is large obviously along with what they had in Egypt in a force capable of destroying not only a reinforced Italian force, but DAK as well.

Thanks for doing this AAR.

Sorry, but I do not agree with the "punch out ground troops as crazy" statement.
The UK force in Portugal is very, very small compared to the German total force, at a time in the war when the UK was already fully committed.
To me, that force is more-or-less historical possible.

(I have always found it very odd that the UK historically waited for the US to liberate Europe, instead of attacking immediately after Germany invaded Russia, but soit).

Yugoslavia joining Axis is far from being a-historical.
They litterally just "joined" the Axis and then they had a coup. Their King simply opted to accept the coup instead of trying to crush it backed up by Germans.

Nothing odd about it. Had they done so - and presumably you are talking about landing in France - the small, under-equipped, British force that could have been so deployed would have been kicked off the continent within months at most.

And why do you say the US liberated Europe? I think you'll find the Soviet Union were largely responsible for that. The Commonwealth/US forces helped to finish off a Wehrmacht that, while still an effective fighting force, had been rendered much weaker by Soviets.

crispy131313 - thanks for the AAR - sorry I could not participate, I just find the sprites too much for my simple brain to take in
