Playing vs the AI what is the longest you have had France hold out?

The French just fell July 22 1941. I think I messed up the AI by making a general advance on the first turn and invading Luxembourg. They diverted a lot of resources from Poland, which didn't fall until January 40, and then counterattacking my advance they basically forced their way through the gap between Belgium and Metz. They never declared war on the Low Countries and seem to have gotten so off their game plan they never got started.

Did something like that during Beta Phase as well, and for all i know some adjustments were done because of my report.
If I remember correctly I even attacked Belgium with my French and UK units.

Nice one ILCK, longest I held France against the AI was late November 1940.

That's it for me too. Pulled that off by spamming garrisons and using them as speed bumps to slow down the advance. Only had the BEF drop by for a cup of tea on their way to North Africa.

Thought the Germans would turn on the Low Countires right after France fell but their tardy defeat of France meant the Soviets declared war on them. Belgium and the Netherlands might survive the war.

This apparently threw everything off. I have seen no Italian DoW on Greece, no Yugoslavian coup either.

Until...the fall of Germany!

Playing on normal settings, I'm now in late 41. Brits rushed everything to France (incl. HQ and army from Egypt), sold several Research chits, concentrated on tanks , art and corps.

AI took all of Poland, so USSR joined early (august 41 I think.

I fell back and had to abandon the Maginot line in the very end, but France held.
