Japan naval, Germany and Italy land.

Naval searches with subs in Mendocino and the Hawaiian islands both fail.

The only violence is a partially successful Japanese ground strike in South China.

Italian armies crawl along in Yugoslavia and Egypt/Sudan.

Stormy weather precludes any action in Russia, and Kesselring doesn't attack the evacuating Allies in Western France in the rain.

The weather worsens, 1. End of impulse.

AXIS #8 MAR/APR 43

An American attempt to take Majuro in the Marianas failed with both invading and defending divisions destroyed.

Weather is so bad Germany takes a first naval move in what feels like 18 months or more

Only find is by the leading u boat in the stormy North Atlantic. Convoys were not so feisty a couple of years ago.

A solitary CW cp is destroyed. No find in round 2, and no find by a small flotilla led by Bismarck in the Norwegian Sea, but pretty much every German and aligned armed vessel is at sea.

A look at some of the quieter fronts. No other fighting.

In N China Yamamoto moves forward as the Japanese ready for better weather. Mao has no access to oil.

There are still two Jap HQs in theatre. In 1943 we must see results.

Chinese forces are stronger in the south, where the balance is uncertain with Chiang's HQ back on the map and some air power. But still an oil issue for the Kuomintang.

The Japanese are active in Burma and Bengal, with a big fleet in the Bay.

Hata rails to the Burmese oilfield but does not risk an attack in the rain.

Defences in Coconada and in the mountains north west of Calcutta are consolidated.

Balbo has invaded Sudan along the Nile. Port Sudan is occupied to provide a supply route by the Italian Mech Cps.

The long-standing besieging force at Khartoum shifts position under cover of snow.

SNOW. IN THE SUDAN.

Is this normal in April?

AXIS #1 MAY/JUN 43

Axis win initiative, clear weather globally. Germany and Japan land actions, Italy naval.

Only naval search to find is in Cape St Vincent. Both Italian subs are aborted (one survives a damage result) to Brest.

But 2 CW cps are sunk and another aborted to Gib.

Soviets contest another Luftwaffe ground strike against Yeremenko's HQ, to the north of Moscow.

The Stuka hit the Mech but missed the HQ.

The Allies having enough of Germany's puppet state DoW Vichy France. Troops load up on various US and CW ships.
Also seeing how massive the German war economy is CW and American bombers attack 4 German factory cities.
Short version, Germany loses one fighter, one allied bomber aborted and one strike hits for a 2 bp loss.
