Excellent!

Well done!

@Acropora:
Copy the entire HOS folder and paste to another drive.
Rename the folder.
Copy and paste the modded files into the new folder.
make a shortcut of the exe to the desktop.
Rename the shortcut.
Play.

This worked for me.

On the Heroes of Pacific instruction is clearly written that the transition from tripod to bipod of a MG is possible during the rally ph.
Encouraged by this i went to HoS and ,finally,i discover that cliking with the left button of the mouse on the MG counter,it change from tripod to bipod.Discovered a little late but better than never.Maybe it was better to write this on the instruction book.

Maitrebongo,i have sent to you 2 mail but i don't know where are,not in the box.
Anyway the question is:in the pacific scenario ,there are bunker and cave but none of this counter are present in the mod provided.
It is a forgetfulness? How the game can load this counter if are not in the Art folder or mod folder?

I have not received your messages in my inbox.
Bunkers and caves are actually elements of the board and could be placed in the F1 menu of the editor.
To activate the bunkers you must cycle on the hex with the W key (as for the barbwire) until you see the bunker counter, and declare the nature of the terrain as a bunker.
To activate the caves, it is necessary to cycle on the hex with the S key (as for the foxholes) until you see the cave counter.

Note that now the version numbers of the different modules are entered.
As improvements are made, they will be updated.

I guess you're talking about mod Heroes of pacific...
The cave counter is a sprite file (cave.tga) located in the folder /art/Hexes of the game once you have copied the files of the mod (it is added).
I created a file cave.tga on Photoshop and I added it to the game. It did not exist before in this form.
same things for the bunker counter.

If you're interested in the method to create a mod, I could do a step by step tutorial (as I did on how to create a basic scenario).

Yes sure could be an idea.Anyway now i have found the cave and the bunker, before i have searched in the wrong folder.
After some month without working on the game a bit of rust in my mind
The game is quite pleasant but i think that the ordinace resolution ,with the addition of the 1d6 for firer and target,is too dependent on luck.In my previos mod i tryed to decrease this but was not enough.

I think we have to do with this game as it is.
All the suggestions are good and I think we can try to improve the system by working only on the variables we have access to.

By testing the scenarios of the different mods I already have some ideas for improvement.

But you have to be patient ...

Keep in mind that I am only an amateur, and that I work alone.

Scenarios are appearing in the Mods section of the forum. It is really encouraging.

This game could well know a kind of development ala ASL with declinations on all the eras and all fronts that one could imagine ...
It is up to the community to take ownership and let their imagination do the job.

Sure,no worries.Anyway i or we can work on the penetration and armor value but is hard to find a way to delete the strong lack that in some case with a low calibre you can destroy a Tiger.

This is the Hollywood movie style of this game ...
It is part of its charm.

As I said, we have to take sides in the program that we can not change.

This looks superb.

I'll end up playing LnL:HoS with the Cold War & Vietnam mods far more than the WW2 setting.

I think you saw that the Indochine pawns of the magazine Vae Victis are in the mod ...
Otherwise, the map on your screenshot, it comes from where? (I did not know it)

The French of 1940 are planned in the module West Front Early War (Heroes of the Blitzkrieg + In Defeat Defiance + a little of North Africa ...).
For now I'm finishing the West Front Late War module (Band of heroes + Swift and Bolt + Noville Bastogne Outpost) and then I would go.

Also the West Front Late War module (Band of heroes + Swift and Bolt + Noville Bastogne Outpost) is very appreciated. The map of Vietnam could be used also for HoP scenarios. For 9 days i'm to Maldive for diving and when i return i hope to find the West Front module.

Thank you for your hard work Maitrebongo.

Hey Rico21 I love your scenarios you created but prefer the original HOS maps. Can I play your scenario and just use the original game maps?
thanks!

I think you can transpose the scenario on a similar map (but prettier graphically).
Another solution is to redefine the scenario map (photoshop skills required).
Otherwise, when creating the scenario, it is necessary to rely on an existing map. It's pretty easy to find tactical maps for wargame (I've collected over 400 of them through my years of research on the internet).
