I agree with the desirability for a map drag option. I am only familiar with the zoom/center on/off mouse cursor option of the game options, and in the addendum I see mention of the quick-jump slots. Is there another option/setting we're missing in direct reference to the OP? Right-click drag to drag the map would be nice, or possibly middle-click drag. That's a pretty common feature in the RTS genre, which is similar enough. Often times when right-clicking to center the map near an area of interest, there are many units in the vicinity and I right-click a unit instead of empty terrain. Of course zooming on cursor helps with that, but I don't prefer that setting for other reasons. And another solution is the arrow keys, but not as convenient as a click-drag would be. What I wind up doing is zooming in, typically to a level where the units making up the point of interest are now off or nearly off screen, then having to right-click again and again to get to where I want be, zoom in a little further, and potentially repeat the process. A click-drag map scroll would be nice, and even a middle-click to center would be a step in that direction since it won't select a unit. The quick-jumps are useful, but still don't fill this functionality gap.
