I have recently tried using hot seat to play an email game. This involved sending the hot seat files - autosave and data (as Axis) to my opponent and receiving back the next autosave file. The first turn went alright, but a complication occurred at the start of the second turn when my (Axis) password was not recognised. I presume because the returned autosave file was from a PC which wasn't the one where the password concerned had been created. Is there anyway around this to enable an email hot seat game to be played?

I never been able to get passwords to work in hotseat mode even when playing against myself on the same computer, the only solution I found was to enter no password! Hopefully this will be fixed soon, though

Thanks. I thought that I'd checked this but obviously didn't. Just tried it and its as you say. So I'll have another go with the email effort.
