About 2k AV had just moved in and were still in reserve mode. The next day would have seen the attack of all units in hex. Defenders were strong, but I think it would have gotten at least a 1:1. Soviet units are so tough, even early. The Marines here are also at about 97exp by this point, so they're actually the scariest. Indian IDs were really experienced as well, while the Soviet units across the board have very marginal commanders and gain experience slowly. Only some were above 70 in spite of constant combat.
