Whereas his 20th ID is pretty ragged; the 14th ID ain't much better. If Tsitshar is clear terrain (I think so, but don't have the game open to verify), it is going to be a brutal battle to hold. You could really use those 2 AT units that start at HK here ...

It is clear terrain...the Soviets have another 1350 AFVs headed into the city, some are enveloping the city.

The 9th, 10th, & 11th RapidFire Gun Battalions arrive tomorrow along with the 2nd Air Defense Regiment. Two more armored regiments should arrive tomorrow too...not enough.

The 14th Division was in reserve no pursuit and headed to the woods southwest...they didn't even participate in the fight..

Unfortunately, the Soviets have close to 3000 AV, 3000 AFVs to throw at Tsitshar plus they are within range to sweep by Migs (and did).

I know its a long way away (and we've no idea of his dispositions), but that axis of advance seems to be aiming for the coast near Mukden. Is that his or your unit that can cut off Tsitshir? (to the NW)

Has he have the armor to move that quickly?

20th?

The 14th was in reserve no pursuit mode heading southwest to dig and recover in the woods there. Did not participate in the battle (might have given me a 1-3 if they had.

It is clear terrain. Arriving tomorrow: 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th RF Gun Bns, 1st & 11th Tank Rgts, 2nd & 11th Air Defense Rgts, the 5th, 7th, 9th Medium artillery, and the 6th Heavy Artillery.

In a few days the 1st and 11th Tank Regiments will show up.

I doubt it is enough, the Soviets have 9 units, 1400 more AFVs just outside of town.

Are you kidding, this is just one of three heavily armored thrusts. There were around 3000 AFVs in this strike alone.

Soviets have about the same number of tanks in one unit than I have in the entire IJA. And they have something like 26 armored units. I am still four months away from getting the 1st and 2nd Tank units up and running.

Lowpe-

I have been following Obvert's and your war.

Both of you write well and have excellent AARs.

Your war is interesting and I have learned much from both of you.

Just wanted to thank you for your AAR.

Best Regards,

-Terry

OIL

Oil is pretty far down the list of problems facing Japan. I won't last long enough for it to really be a problem.

So no importing? Just using Oil/refinery bases as filling-stations.

They started the day one hex away and made no progress, instead now they are in combat mode and unpacking. They were not bombed.

Can you try to install a new copy of the PWHEX file? Yours may be corrupted and is affecting movement by rail in this area.

Yeah, something isn't right. Memory issues, corrupted file, something.

Russian horde at the destination base?!

Could air superiority over the base figure into it.

I'm reading both AAR's so can't comment much, other than agree wholeheartedly with witpqs' observation. A VERY interesting game for sure.

Ok, got my turn somewhat straightened out. Replaced a few files and hope that will solve the Manchuko bug.
