Is it doing this kind of thing every time CPs are taking it on the chin?

No. The three CW cp's were split and the Dutch Cp's were in a stack of three. I elected to take the X on one of the CW cp's. Because this kills 2 cp points, the game asked me to pick the next CP to lose, and I chose another CW cp, at which point it destroyed both remaining CW cp's and aborted a Dutch cp.

I did it that way because I was hoping to avoid having the game split the stack of 3, which as you know causes the remainder to lose their sentry status. But instead I lost an extra cp and the dutch stack was still split :P

I thought if it were some extreme corner case resulting from mixing the two nationalities, then without a saved game it would be quite difficult to troubleshoot.

But if it happens a lot then it should be easier to fix.

Forgive me if I misunderstood it but i think it may not be a bug, depending on how MWIF works...

I mean, if you are asked to assign 1 X, and you select the CW, you'd get TWO brit losses, the next Cp to lose would be the D one, meaning one more Cp which could have been CW or Ne. Since you selected CW, you got 2+1 CW kills and automatically there were only 3 Ne ships for one abort so MWIF did it by itself, aborting one of them.

There was no D, it was 1X 1A. Should have been two cp's lost, 1 aborted.
