I'd like to know this as well. Doesn't work for me (see error message above).
Real bummer because this was my favorite scenario by a distance.

The errors in the action are easily fixed.

- Backup scenario somewhere safe
- Open the Action Cuba_AirOpsNight, copy paste into the Lua console
- Line 9 find Ciudad and amend to read Cuidad
- Line 87 Delete end
- Delete Line 87
- Insert Line 96 to read end
SAVE SCENARIO
- Run Lua script, should now be error free. If so, you can delete the backup. DO NOT SAVE NOW AS YOU HAVE FIRED AN ACTION THAT IS NOT INTENDED TO RUN UNTIL LATER

Apache85's grasp of Lua is mind boggling but errors do creep in and are often hard to find. A simple typo - Ciudad versus Cuidad - or a misplaced end is so very easy to do and so difficult to catch when you have to proof your own work.

Randomizer,

Great work. Unfortunately I'm an old geezer who hasn't gotten into scenario creation.
I wouldn't know Lua from a blue moon. Can you possibly get permission from Apache to
upload the scenario with your corrections? I'd be eternally grateful.

I have one suggestion to Randomizer's instructions:

Leave Line 9 alone.

Open the scenario in the scenario editor. For side Cuba, open up the mission editor and change the name of the relevant mission with "Cuidad" in the name to "Ciudad."

I believe that Ciudad as in the LUA code is actually the correct spelling and consistent with the rest of the scenario.

***break***

So, this looks like it has the makings of a masterpiece.

Not that I think it needs one, but how likely is an update in the near future? I want to play it, but I don't want spoilers if an update is imminent.

Tomato-Tomatoe. There are two actions for the mission Recon Cuidad Libertad AB. If you change the name of the mission you need to edit the other action so you're now doing two edits where only one is necessary. But if that floats your boat...

@Gregb41352, I'm a pensioner too and struggle with Lua more often than not but if you can write a post here you have the skills to perform the necessary edits. To quote some long dead Greek guy: "We learn how to do things by doing the things that we are learning to do." I doubt that I would much appreciate some third party asking to upload their edits to one of my scenarios even if it was a minor fix. Sorry.

Wow. Really? Would you mind telling me why?
I can understand re-makes of your scenarios...makes perfect sense.
But fixes?

I was looking at your Lua Code to try to pick some tricks up. NOW THAT'S SOME CODE! WOW!

This was the first 'proper' Lua heavy scenario I made, and it turned into such a gargantuan piece that I never finished it.

This was before I really learned how to write readable code, so looking at this code now makes me cry

The CMO standalones reflect my current style. You'll notice that even complex scenarios with lots of moving parts like OP Lighting Strike only have 4-5 events, everything else is handled in code.

Thanks for that scenario Apache,

Do you have a longer list of your more current scenarios? Love to look at the code.

Thanks.

I think theres 45 or so standalone scenarios with CMO, 40 or so of them were remastered by me and incorporate my current code style.

The ones with a title image got extra attention and have more complex inner workings (except Chasing Aphrodite, I just replaced its title image as part of a bugfix credit to DefenceGreece for that excellent scenario).

My favourite is probably Canary's Cage or Green Tide.
