Status: offline 		I recently got new PC and did clean install with 1.1.24 patch (didnt install unofficial patch) and now during air phase whenever my bombers are attacking ground troops or ports and airfields without enemy planes present I dont get any combat report. I cant even see bombings in combat report window after turn. Also I have missing aircraft sprites when I turn on combat animations. I installed Clear day map mod but I removed because I tought it caused combat reports missing but problem still occures with vanilla. Is reinstalling only option?

Status: offline 		Are you saying you saw an attack during combat replay but it didn't show up as a report afterwards like the one pictured here?

Status: offline 		Yep, exactly that. I do get reports on other stuff including ground combat/bombardments... I am really confused why it is happening ( I'm playing this game for almost 2 years and never had any problems so far)

Status: offline 		If so, please provide a screen grab of an air unit ordered to attack, then take a screen grab of the attack during combat replay and provide that. Then take a screen grab of the spot in the report where the attack should have shown up, given the order it appeared in during the replay.

Status: offline 		And this is moment when they arrive but after that it just skips on to the next action in this case bombing of Khota Baru (and it shows me combat report cause there were enemy planes)

I ask because AFAIK you are supposed to be able to get combat summaries without combat animations.

Status: offline 		unfortunately even with combat animations on i dont se combat report... I really dont want to redo first turn again. I did clean install and problem is still here, I'll try start with clean save but I poured 45H in first turn and I dont want it to go to waste.

Status: offline 		Yeah I had similar problem but then I couldnt get any combat reports to show up ( I had full combat reports in report screen though) and I managed to solve it by reinstaling the game. That time I turned off combat reports and they simply didnt want to turn on. Oh I guess I'll have to redo the 1st turn on clean install this time please if you have any ideas I would appreciate it.

P.S. why are combat reports hating me for years

Make a shortcut to "War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe"
Right click on shortcut then properties.
In your shortcut to C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe add the switches.

NOT THE AUTORUN SHORTCUT

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -SingleCpuOrders -deepColor -dd_sw -altFont

Status: offline 		If you have not been using any switches then this will totally change your game for the better.

The command line switches are covered in the "WhatsNew.pdf" in the game folder

People use different switches depending on their computer. But some switches are required for all. -deepColor -dd_sw are very important.

Been having a slow map scroll? This will fix it.

First lets make sure the switches are running.

which OS are you using? Win7, Win8, Win10


Do you have slow map scrolling in game?

Are the switches right.... is the shortcut to the .exe and not the autorun?

Are you using - and not – from .pdf. Use the smaller dash.

Correct spelling of switches?

Post your Target line:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -SingleCpuOrders -deepColor -dd_sw -altFont
