In the sub inspector, one can read about the armament, the sensors and other important attribute the vehicle might contain, however, much one what is looked at, I have no idea of what it is ... such as THE "BGM-71E-TOW-2A." I think this refers to some kind of missile, although I'm not certain.

Can there be a database added that gives a silhouette of at least some of the weapons mentioned to have a better insight of the vehicle and its use. Even tanks are different, and some tanks are not used for what a main battle tank is used for.

We are planning to make the sub-unit inspector for Southern Storm have more room and much more information for the players. We will have to think on what else we can do to add more info to help out players. Good point. Thanks for posting.

That's a good idea, something I sure would like to have implemented as I'm not that into modern equipment but definitely into the game.

One other thing we plan to have with Southern Storm is a Battlefield Primer guide. A document that tries to explain the platforms, weapon systems, and equipment being used in the game and some idea of what they do or how they are used. Really aimed at new players or new to modern/cold war era. That should help on some of the learning curve with the alphabet soup and use of the various items.

I was looking at the tank counter and infantry counter in the scenario "A few good tanks" and I thought ... It would increase the tension and concern if we new how many men are in a company, battalion or even regiments. We have a general idea of how much equipment, but there is no information concern troop numbers or the number of tanks a single tank-counter represents. I know they represent more than one, but how many and how many men are in that particular tank counter or a infantry platoon counter is not known. To assess the strength of any company, battalion or regiment, it is not just the equipment that must be known, but also the man power every commander should know.

Its just a thought...

Conquest, for your side the number in the lower right of the counter shows the number of subunits in the unit. So that is tanks in a platoon or squads and IFVs in a mechanized platoon.

Sorry Guys ... I think I found what tells you how many units are in a particular counter, however! .... In the scenario "A few good tanks" the 3/C/TF 2-67 contains four tanks, but the 3/B/TF 2-67 must be a single tank because every tank counter in the company is the same, unless each of the counters in the company contains four tanks... I know I'm probably not looking at this right, so can some one help me understand this! Nonetheless, every commander should know how many men he has and where they are placed.

The number will tell you the number of active runners (sub-units) in the counter. If you select a unit and then click on the Subunits Tab at the bottom of the screen you can see all of the subunits in that unit and there current state (alive/fallen out/dead). The number on the lower right of an enemy counter will vary and is fuzzy. You can, during the orders phase, hit F2 and look at the Detailed Force Roster. That will show you all of your forces and their current state.

Yes, thank you Capn Darwin, I found what you are talking about, but this tells you the number of mechs and material and not men. How many men are there in a company or battalion it does not say, it does however, tell you the number of crew in a tank.... Its ok, I was just thinking out loud about knowing the number of men in a company or battalion, like 100 or 200 men... I guess its not important... anyway ... thanks guy for the info....
