05 August 1966 with a duration of 6 hours is showing remaining time as 50 y 18 mon.

User error.

Scenario date times are defined using both Start Time and Current Time. You started the scenario in 1966 but still have the current date as that when you created the scenario in 2017. Scenario Current Time must = Scenario Start Time when building a scenario.
