Sounds like beginning of the end for Axis....

I get few more ideas for next version release (dont know if easy to script or not)

Operation Dynamo 1940:
if BEF is deployed in France and fully destroyed during french campaign it should affect a lot British National Morale
On other hand for every british Unit sailing back to UK it should give a small NM bonus.

I think Nice and Monaco were kept under Italian control after the june 1940 armistice, so shouldnt be under Vichy control

General de Gaule made an official radio call from London on 18/06/1940 to remaining french forces to join Free France and continue the fight, Its well rendered in the game for french Navy, but not for ground forces.
There were actually few units fighting with UK in North africa (French foreign legion, and sailors)
Maybe a Free French Infantry division or Garnison could be added by early 1941 in North African front.

I did a small MOD for unit activation sprite file (Croatia, Romania, Slovakia)
here is the link

I was doing some rework on Nato sprite, but I have seen that Phalen had start some job on Germany, any screenshot?

Let's hope it's the beginning of the end!

Regarding the proposed scripts, with the exception of the Italian annexation the scripting would be very hard and I am not sure I could make this work. In this current match I had a Free French Special Forces and Tactical Bomber continue the fight after France surrendered, so I don't think a change is necessary.

Also, Phalen has been working hard on providing some upgrades to the sprites you created, while maintaining the original design. We will be sharing them very soon! I think you will like them.

Sorry for the waiting time!
I was out for holidays and i couldn't play with my laptop as much as i would like.

Quick report:
France
UK was quicker than me in the south of France and cuts communications with Spain (by train). But i don't expect a direct offensive over Franco's Land. :)
A small CA around Bruxelles kills an american infantry corps next to the city.

Morocco
Spanish forces there refitting and rest looking forward for future operations.

Tunis and Libia
Italian forces holds positions with the support of the Luftwaffe. A new british corps is killed by bombing.

Turkey
German forces keep pressing at the border with Syria. We expect to enter in the country very soon.

Romania
German forces gives a new step back looking security right at the border of Romania just behind the rivers.

Poland and Baltic States
Strong german forces hold the line killing some soviets units there.

Denmark and Norway
Skirmish continues there with not big results.

OKW still trust in keep fighting for long time looking for a kind of "tie" in the war... Let's see..

We pray for Winter!

On the other hand, i am looking forward for a "revenge" with the new settings of Fall Weiss 8.0!!!! :)

Go, go, go!

December 31, 1944

Allies launch a lot of small and, sometimes, crazy operations in order to wear out Axis resitance.

NORWAY $ DENMARK
The Norway convoy is ruined for Germans for so many months ago since seas are ruled by Allied.
In land, some expensive? landings from british forces have captured some cities at south but Oslo is well defended.
In Denmark local German forces are now, again, trying to get Copenhagen after killing a suicide landing by british.

FRANCE - BENELUX - WEST GERMAN
Allied didn't try a front assault over German defences (mainly armoured units in cities) but sneak into Dusseldorf and surroinding areas. They are low of supplies and not supported by HQ. But they are soooo irritating.

FRANCE - SPAIN NORTH ITALY
British minor forces head to the south and cut land communications with Spain.
First figthing are happening at Pirineos mountains. Spanish forces try to hold the line.
Gibraltar area is reinforced... just in case.
Some minor landings of US forces in West of Spain and North of Portugal. More irritating...

MOROCCO - ARGELIA - TUNNIS - LIBYA
Spanish forces in Morocco step back as we have to defend so many fronts there.
Argelia, thanks for german bombing British Group of Armies are quite out of combat. They have lost the HQ and the main strong forces. Italians try to take back Tunnis Capital.
Libya: Italian try to advance over Tripoly.

TURKEY - SYRIA
The very slow advance of the German Army Group there is finally successful and German are very close to Beirut!!! Canadians are almost out of combat.

EAST FRONT
Thanks to God that winter is here... Slowly but inevitably, soviets advance some little hex turn after turn.
We try to hold a line from Kronisberg to Warwaw (*** Polish upraising). From Warsaw to Budapest... and From Romania to the south.
It quite likely that soon or late, soviet forces arrive to the Yugoslavian border and cut communications from Germany to Romania/Turkey.

Overview
If the game ends in 1947 i don't think so that i survive. But i think that i will be fighting for June 1945.
It looks like German and Italy could be isolated from Afrika / Turkey and Spain. It's a funny situation.
German income are less than 700MPP!!! This is really painful!

March 1945

I had no time for pictures but here is a snapshot of the current situation. Will provide images next turn.

The Western Front

After intense fighting for Brussels, a German Panzer Army was destroyed and Belgium has been liberated. German forces, including a Panzer Corps are cut off in the Netherlands and I am not sure if Germany will attempt to relieve them. Allied Bombers are leveling German supply lines South of Luxembourg in an effort to liberate the remainder of France.

The Eastern Front

The Axis are holding at strong defensive lines from Konigsberg to Warsaw. While in the Balkans, the Axis are crumbling under intense Soviet pressure. Romania has surrendered this turn, and The Soviets are approaching Budapest. A number of German and Italian units still remain in Romania, but have little to no chance of successful counter attack.

Middle East

Launching an offensive from occupied Turkey, Germany has made a surprising push into Syria and beyond, capturing Damascus and continuing southward after completely routing the Canadian Armed Forces. Iraq must have been very impressed as they have joined the Axis in 1945. The Allies are working on stabilizing the region which is now in total disarray.

North Africa

With the support of the Luftwaffe stationed in Italy, the Italians have retaken Tunisia and destroyed the attacking British forces. The Italian Army Group now push towards Tripoli which is still strongly defended by British forces. Simultaneously, Italian Amphibious landings at Benghazi have revived the entire North African theatre.

Spain/Morocco

Spanish Armor has returned to defend the homeland, engaging the British in Northern Spain while the Americans have destroyed the remaining Spanish forces in Morocco, capturing Tangiers and now approach Algiers.

Just discovered this wonderful AAR today ... loving it. Already read every post and looking forward to more. Very professionally done. Your graphics paint a clear picture of what's going on. I hope after "the game" is over both of you will give your thoughts ... your strategy ... why you think you won/lost/tied. What you did right. Wrong. What worked well in the game and what didn't. Lots of good stuff like that. Thank you very much for this wonderful AAR.
