If you seek instant gratification, a game depicting every pilot, airplane and rustbucket on a playing field encompassing 70% of the planet might not the best choice.

Cheers,
CC

According to Book I verse 5....

"PRECAUTIONS DURING USE:
- Do not sit too close to the monitor. Sit as far as comfortably possible.
- Use as small a monitor as possible.
- Do not play when tired or short on sleep.
- Take care that there is sufficient lighting in the room.
- Be sure to take a break of 10-15 minutes every hour"

Alfred doesn't scare me. I imagine him to have a giant cerebrum with 90% of his cardiac output going to his brain so you could probalby get away from him if you had to. What scares me is the guy who knows where the randomizer code is in the EXE file and can re-run the turn for the best outcome.

There was an old Grigsby game..perhaps Pacific War, where some of the code was in BASIC. I remember reading the BASIC code and finding out the "AI" was just reading the position array of opposing forces.

Is the 5th commandment, "Thy shalt count correctly the number of the commandments thoust postesth and prostesteth and refer to them in correct ordinal ranking"?

How about "Thou shalt not have a photic-stimulation induced seizure" That one scared Hell out of me on page 2. That's why I stopped reading the manual.
