Yes, I'm subscribed to the thread. But since I had done my turn I didn't figure I had anything to do at this time, sorry.

Do you want me to spend the rest of the AP on support units? Since we don't want to have any left over to be burned up on the new divisions coming in.

And why do we still have SU in the Transcaucasus and Urals MD's? If nobody else wants them, we certainly do.

And did we ever have a policy about SU assignments? Are we supposed to set our HQ's to any given level of support?

I'm going to put my save game up now. Hopefully supreme command is going to deal with spending our remaining AP so they don't disappear.

I will do the turn by tonight. Can we get an indication of what to do with the AP. I know Mamluke wanted to save them for the offensive, but will they really disappear if we dont use them !??!

Each side may have a maximum of 500 admin points, any more points added beyond that will be lost.
We only have 74 Admin Points currently so there is no problem, they will remain until we use them.

Doctorking, your new save doesnt work either, same problem as before. It cant be loaded. Doctorking, can you load the save? Maybe you're running a different version that the rest of us, idk.

What version are you running? I'm using the new beta 1.11.02 but I might downgrade anyway.

If I understand correctly, all the new units that will appear next turn in the logistics phase, since they are replacements of units that were destroyed some weeks ago, will be rebuilt using the AP that remain at the end of the turn. Since each new division costs 20 AP, that means all of our remaining AP should vanish during the logistics phase. I'd be happy if this weren't true, but it has always been thus represented to me and I have always had the habit of using up all my AP as the Soviets each turn.

Yeah, that's probably the issue. Please dont update unless all of us do, or there will ofc be issues.

Iv updated the game as well and I have no problem. The new patch is compatible for saved game, but you cant update it, play with it, and then downgrade and use the same save file. Everyone should upgrade to the new patch.

BUT, I will talk it over with Telemecus. But Iv upgraded to the new patch and everyone was still able to access my file.

Ok, that's fine then. Although I'm not 100% on with the beta. Maybe we should stick with 1.11.01. If you're going to do that, I authorize you to move for me as we discussed. Get the good units out of the line and moving towards 8th and 23rd Armies, move the turkeys towards the front, fill in gaps, get the air bases off the railroad.

Every German players are on the new patch as well. So well need everyone to get on board with it. And then finally get on with the new save file. I hope we wont all have to re-do them but if it makes things simpler, thats what well do. Cause we gotta hurry as well if we dont want to finish the game in 5 years ( I personally dont care how long it takes, Im here til the end ). But it would be nice to be out of Operation Barbarossa and start kicking some butts ! ;)

OK so it's totally 1.11.02. I guess I'm OK with that. We'll have to see what the effect on air operations is. I'd suggest turning off ground support and doing only manual ground attack missions where you know the German air force is not going to be. Our base morale is going to go from 20 to 35 starting January 1st and then we can start getting a _little_ more aggressive. Keep the air force well back from the front because even unescorted German bombers will cause our boys to mess their pants and bail out at this point.

This is the problem with uncritically signing on to public betas, I guess.

Turn is done. Good Job commanders. We have reports from our Intel that the Axis General Crackaces has died from Partisan. Rejoice Comrades. To whoever was fighting against Crackaces, expect a different pattern of strategy from your new adversary. Be ready to adapt.

Additional intel says that the new German commander will be taking charge of the central front and General Sparkleytits has been seen moving around the Northern Areas.

Lots of Partisan died for this information..

Never get enough of that role playing boss

Supreme leader, you still haven't decided where to deploy the Cavalry corps?

As a detailed before, on the 1st turn of December, we will have 15 ready Cav corps of varied quality (not counting 1 already in Crimea), whit a 17th ready for deployment in 11 of December (2nd turn of December).

You must decided which front needs this units more. you must also consider where the better quality corps are needed as well.

In my experience with the winter, the Cav corps provided a much needed exploitation with their high movement points, they also are great with Hasty attacks, another advantage is they don't suffer any penalties in woods compared to motorize.

PS: BTW, in regards to the new update, since planes can't be both night and day, we should fix that 1st and not use the air force I guess, its a mud turn so no real problem.
Don't worry about not giving supplies to the pocket at Voronezh, those guys suffered too much time in isolation to matter anymore.

Marshal Mamluke.

Thanks for your input. Orders about airplanes have already been sent to the Air Marshal a couple days ago. All air force are to stay on the ground while reorganization of the air is underway.

Marshal Mamluke As for the Cavalry, you personally requested 3 cavalry corps for Operation Stalino, I will grant you those corps Marshal, in addition, due to my great trust in you, I will give you an additional 2 cavalry corps to support your assault. Every additional cavalry corps gained during the winter will be joining your command. All cavalry corps at your disposal WONT be the better quality ones.

Marshal Darojax will have the other 10th Cavalry corps, included the better ones, to join in Operation Krutov's special mission. This mission is TOP SECRET and will be made known at the moment of the offensive.

Let it be known That Marshal's Darojax Operation Krutov's special mission will be joined by Marshal Mamluke for special supervision. All orders will have to be confirmed and approved by both Marshal before being issued.
Marshal Mamluke will be made aware of the operation on the day of the assault and will be transported by plane on that very same day.

If I manage a breakthrough, I'd like to have some cavalry to run for Leningrad and/or to cut off the Finns. You can rail them up later if I'm making good progress.

Awesome!

Ho Supreme leader, may I propose that the last Cav corps goes to Doctorking? I won't mind if the 17th cavalry corps goes to the North.

Just to be sure, that all comrades keep in mind that Corps use 4 command points (CP) instead of the 2 CP per division, so keep that in mind when structuring your armies for December.

South and North received reinforcement by rail.

Southern Reinforcement will be around Stalingrad.
Northern Reinforcement will be around Yologda.

Nothing for the centre but some are on their way, currently at Kuybyshev

Turn is up for air marshal.

Air + Center turn done.

AIR: All armed air operations put on hold this week, as ordered. Only transport and recon aircraft flying.

CENTER: In preparation for the winter offensive the 1st Shock Army is forming up, using the very best ground units of sector Center. Also, led by the very best Air Commander of the Red Army, veteran air units are organized into supporting the 1st Shock Army.

Very good Comrade!

I've created the 80 ski battalions, may the serve us well in this winter and the future. you guys may spend AP at ease.

the enemy appears to want to attack Rostov, I will try to defend a Don Bridge head as best as possible, but Rostov has a level 3 fort, I sure it and the Marshes can hold easily.

Supreme leader, remember when we discussed that all 20% ToE rifle divisions east of the Volga and all future shell divisions should remains at 20%?
this is to make sure we stockpile supplies and manpower for the winter offensive. its best to leaves these units East of the Volga and not waste rail capacity. I still need to evac the 15 armaments at Rostov just to be safe, its becoming clear manpower will be the Bottleneck, not armaments.

please leave me at least 50 000 rail capacity for next turn, so I can evac at least 10 armament points.

Marshal Darojax Good, very good. make sure to keeps those units far from any German recon airplanes. Order them all to take position near railways, they will be transported to their final destination a week before the actual assault.

Marshal Mamluke I was not aware we still had armaments to move. All trains among all fronts will shift to your disposition. Central front will need lots trains for the coming offensive so bear that in mind.

Let it be known Marshals, that General Armii Zhukov will be transferred to the Kalinin Front on the 20th November and General Major Rokossosvsky transferred on the same date to the 1st Shock Army in order to make sure we succeed. So say we all.
