Might be not a bug. Posting it here in case the change of the radar behavior was not intended.

Gave a go to my small scenario that I created a day before the 1.13 patch went public. And noticed that in 1.12 MQ-9 ground search radar was much more capable in detecting small ground objects.
In 1.13 MQ-9 flying over the targets at 5000m AGL can not detect anything using its radar. Only descending to 1000m AGL improves the situation. While in 1.12 MQ-9 was able to detect cars, flying at any altitude.

Weird, haven't touched that bit.

Is this happening using the same database?

Yes, DB has not changed. Scen is using DB467.

Have reverted command exe back to 1.12 B936.21 to be sure: yes, radar behavior definitely has changed. Tents are detected the moment I turn MQ-9B radar on. Moving gun truck is detected few seconds latter at ~20nm. In 1.13, flying on the same altitude my MQ-9B radar does not see anything.

IIRC we made a mod to the sensors values at some point during Chains to refine this. Don't have access to the latest but perhaps this was reverted?

Yes, the root cause is a change in the way of calculating the radar clutter. The change was made in order to fix this: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4337413

This effects aircraft in the CWDB as well.

In the attached scenario the vigilante isn't picking up any of the moving T-62's with its SLAR.
