now it's a race to repair and replace, so rail repair and supplies are number one, and pushing as far as i can, as quick as i can, without running out of supplies and getting caught in a counter attack

Thanks zakblood. I'm following you. It's unclear to me why you didn't set the amphib operation on at start. It was the D-day after all....

by default it can almost run the air game for you, it just needs a few little tweaks, like are you doing a landing that turn?

if so put amphib support on, and then where, it what part of the sector, map etc? with north being the top of the map and south being the bottom, that's simple enough, as i'm not doing any atm, i've turned it off, but if i wish to transport any units by sea in either sector, turn it on, or you will pay a high cost for sea transport! first and only warning...

then choose what you would like to happen on the air turn, support, air to ground or air to air, and click the box which suits your game and plan at the time, for me i keep it simple.

i did, i just didn't show it as being done.

i shown the page being all turned off and mentioned that if you are doing a landing you need to turn it on, like most thing in the game with air anyway, it's best to plan on what you doing in the land first in your head then tick the right box in the AP air planner screen to get the AI to do the plan for you, when you feel upto it, then delve in a bit deeper etc.

my air planning tick box alters almost every turn, depending on what i'm doing atm, showing a given screen sometimes is meaningless without a reason given why a given task has been selected, and also best to do your own instead of someone thinking that worked for him at a given point now i'll try it, as they the results don't match etc, so i tend to now not show a given air screen in game, unless posting a reason for a given display being shown just for that reason.

already replied to that question, more than a few pages back now

only operations going off here atm is yellow base taking and road and rail repair before i bring over the air force on mass, as it's rest and resupply time for the units, who by now are really ready for it, so just sitting on the front line doing nothing but resting and catching there breath, and so are the axis, while yes it's a breathing space for both, not a lot i can do until my supplies catch up, other than bomb from above

and that's where i'll end it, as you generally get the picture now, beach landing, make a bridgehead, extend it, supply in, bring in more troops and move out, while providing air cover for land sea and dominating the air, job done
.
.
.

apart from repair the road and rails, rest and rotate the planes, men and repair upgrade the equipment / refit etc.
.
.
.
oh, and finally enjoy yourself while learning and playing

if i carry it on, it may spoil it for some of you also, as now i kick in the door and clear them out of both France and Italy before the timer ends, forget about VP in this one, as you need a better understanding of the VP system to really understand a good win to a great win etc

it's not a good game, it's a great game

so i leave it here, with 35 turns to go, and i need to push on to Berlin?

can i do it?

and i've been too cautious?

is there enough time and did i repair enough rail to bring in and horde enough supplies for now is the time to break out and push on into German?

as you can see from t25 on wards, the time element is way off, i've not managed to keep on track time wise and be where i should have been for a given time, and will pay for it, not paying attention to details like VP's is a game end'er tbh, while you can win on amount of land grabbed and less unit losses, you will loose on the time element of not being far enough by a given date, in other words, not historic lines and distances etc.

this comes with practice and lots of it

but with 35 turns left, is there time?

well that's your jobs commander if you take up the call and be commander in chief and go head to head with the AX and fight the good cause against the axis side
