I've just spent this afternoon downloading the game and the H&L mod, but when I get to the latest scenarios pack from post 1 in this thread, I find some common files, not least for 'GD Bialystock Cauldron' plus the 'Terrain', 'Nations' and Units excel files. In the hopes that it's correct, I overwrote the earlier version of those files with the ones included in this latest scenario pack, but just want to confirm that is correct?

Hello rmmwilg,

If I have understood what you are saying, I think you have done the opposite of what to do.

The first thing you have to do is download the Core from H & Lmod.

The second is to download the Pack of "new" scenarios that are not yet in the Core because they are being published right now (Grossdeutschland and Partizani).

In the "new" Scenarios pack there are also game files like Units, Terrains, and others. These files are necessary to play the "new" scenarios. all you have to do is overwrite the Units file of the scenarios on the Core Units, and so on with all the "new" files.

When I finish publishing Grossdeutschland and Partizani, then I will pass all the files from these scenarios pack to the Core, and also all the other files, like Units, Natios, and all the others.

I hope I was able to help you.

Thanks for the reply and happy to have arrived 😊
So yes, I did download and ‘install’ the core mod first. I’m actually using JSGME, but regardless. Thing is though, when I went to add the Partisans & GD, those files I listed below already existed in the core mod. I went ahead and pasted over them in the ‘Heroes and Leaders mod’ folder, but particularly in regard to the 'GD Bialystock Cauldron', I was a little concerned at overwriting the pre-existing map file, etc. from the core mod. I haven't tried it, but was just wanting to check all was well. Maybe you updated that scenario's map files, etc.?

Re the counter hover-and-reveal feature, yes I saw that when playing and in the tutorial, but when there's multiple units/counters, they still display in a staggered or tiled arrangement, making it harder to really view them, and I think it would be easier to be able to just click on a hex and view the fully displayed counters in the unit window, again, at least for my units. Just a thought.

It's possible that I had copied these files to the Core. The truth is that I do not remember. However, always keep in mind that the files in the scenario package always have an update level equal to or higher than the level of the same Core files.

2) hover-and-reveal feature

Yes, you are right. You cannot always see all the characteristics of each unit of the counters in a stack.
However, if you click on the stack, all the units of the stack appear on the right side. So, if you move the mouse over each one of the units you will see all the characteristics of each unit, which coincide with the characteristics of the excel file "units".

I copy you an example.

Status: offline 		The format of the next scenarios will have a presentation quite different from the usual format until now.

I'm referring to the presentation sequence at the beginning of each scenario. The problem I'm facing is that I can only use less than 100 sequences ("Events") and at the moment I have already used 81. Obviously it's not possible to keep this format much longer.

The solution I have found is to use the classic introductory text of each scenario more exhaustively, and try to include the main data of each scenario there. Obviously much spectacularity is lost but at least part of the information is kept.

The rest of the events still available I will use them in the same way as until now, but assigning an event to each new module (this already includes Partizani and Großdeutschland). Naturally, the information that will now appear in each scenario will be much more generic, aimed at giving an overview of the module and not of each specific scenario.

If anyone has an alternative idea I would like to know it.
