Status: offline 		I feel like we're in a 'phony war' period. except for China, of course, where the Empire is relentlessly pushing.

So the big plan currently is to push into the Marshalls and Gilberts as soon as the major warships get their October '42 upgrades. We also should have at least 2 additional USN CVE on line by then, at least they can help with CAP and ferrying flight-ready fighters to captured airfields.

That whole operation should get a series of fights rolling. In NW Australia we have over 300 AV in armored units (some of that infantry type squads) ready to move on either Darwin or Wyndham or both. While they have been recovering and supply building up at Katherine (now over 500 supply) two AA units (one light, one heavy) have been marching up from the rail head at Alice Springs. They still have a few weeks to go.

Darwin still has a division in defense, but it looks like the recent shipping activity at Wyndham has reduced the commitment there to a regiment. We can overwhelm the defenses at Wyndham more quickly, but will probably suffer greater attrition from air strikes from in Koepang. Darwin we can rush to more quickly. There are currently 28 Imperial fighters seen at Wyndham. The airfield at Darwin is 100% damaged and we have split the assignments as B-24's to ground attack while the B-17's continue airfield suppression. There are far more B-24's than B-17's in the mix now (all at Cloncurry). The 4EB at Alice Springs are all ferrying supply to Katherine as are the 2EB there.

So that decision, Darwin or Wyndham first, is open. Comments?

In SE Asia notice Kalemyo, recently captured by enemy paratroops, changed loyalties back to our side. No more Imperial forces at Kalemyo! Recon shows only the Imperial 148th Infantry Regiment (opposing our Chinese Army spearhead). So unless it begins later there will be no cross-border India invasion along the frontier, although the Arakan is still a possibility with its access to ports.

As greater combat power of Chinese Army units become available we will feed them into the jungle behind Akyab with the aim of tying up Imperial on or near the Burma plain. We are currently airlifting another small Chinese Army unit from China to India and another will follow right after. They will go through the same process of building up in Calcutta before being deployed. I think our India defenses are currently strong and flexible. With the augmentation of Chinese Army forces we can begin to pressure the Empire in Burma and still hold a stout defense. Comments?

If you can LRCAP Wyndham from Katherine or the base north of there it might be better to attack that and try to isolate the troops at Darwin. Let him lose ships and aircraft trying to extract them when you have Wyndham and Feni (or whatever it's called).
Of course all this depend on the availability of fighters and air support for multiple bases ... your call.

Good food for thought. He has too many fighters at Wyndham for me to LRCAP it, but the rest makes sense. Fenton we have, just a dot-base. I wonder how much protection those two AA units will afford?

• The 4th Div at Darwin continues receiving a steady pounding by our B-24's.

• In response to our successful fighter sweep of Darwin the Empire now shows 52 fighters at Wyndham. There had been 28 for many days previously. Both P-38 squadrons (E and F models) with 45 ready aircraft at Tennant Creek are ordered to sweep Wyndham. I hope supply there will be adequate for the drop tanks. The 4EB at Cloncurry will continue to target facilities and troops at Darwin.

• Noumea now has fortifications 4 and La Foa 2. Much supply is en route to Noumea. Noumea also has a fighter sqn which arrived there and the pilots are training hard. they will be swapped out for experienced stick jockeys if the Empire shows up.

Turns out most only needed the shipyard to get running and are able to proceed pierside. The Lexington's are the big exceptions.

Status: offline 		I have some time and no turn today so here are a few pics of the current situation.

First, China. We are in the early stages of pulling the army out of the good defensive terrain to the east of the Chungking plain. They must begin making for the mountain redoubt or we will not have sufficient strength to hold it and keep Imperial troops tied up there.

Status: offline 		Burma and the mountain redoubt in China. Notice the additional avenues of approach on Paoshan. I keep waiting for Imperial troops to show up along the western road into Kunming too.

I am hoping more than 2,000 AV pushing into Burma from the Arakan divert significant Imperial resources.

Status: offline 		NW Australia. Notice the two AA units approaching Daly Waters from the south. When they arrive the armor will advance.

I think the target will be Darwin because it will be a much shorter march and therefore fewer days of enemy air strikes to endure once movement is noticed.
