INVADED
Paoshan, Mengtze, Urumchi are invested.

CHANGED OWNERSHIP

Overall
• No carrier sightings.

• I wonder if the sub recon of Lahaina indicates the Empire has lost confidence in tracking the fleet?

• All convoys report no contacts.

• The fleet will stay put. BB Indiana, 1x CA, 4x (modern) CL, and 5x DD have finished various repairs and upgrades and will leave Pearl Harbor tonight heading to a point SSW of Laysan Island. The objective is to present a nice search/recon contact and allow the fleet to advance with less harassment along a vector south of Johnston Island.

Pacific
• No enemy sub activity detected.

• All convoys report no contacts.

• We see 4 enemy units on the road just forward of Katha with 23,780 troops, 238 guns, and 525 AFV. At least one unit continues moving SW to block our armor which crossed the river (and is awaiting infantry) and at least one unit is now seen moving back to Katha. Katha spots as 1 unit with 480 troops, 22 guns, 0 AFV and could be seized by para drop with that defense. Our Chindits would then be crushed by the counter attack so we must wait for ground moving forces to advance further, and apparently the Empire has realized this and is bolster Katha's defenses.

A bloody day in the air over China and Burma. Our 4EB will take a day off and rejoin the battle over Kunming, likely higher than 5,000 ft.

Well, you probably read to catch up, but...

Wascally Walter has taken to sending more and more surface force sweeps farther into our search coverage to detect the fleet earlier. We managed to avoid and disengage from indirect contacts (our float planes) with those and with subs. The fleet is fully fueled and has tankers along for some more.

Many subs are cycling with most on route to patrol areas again, but some more inbound for fuel. We extended search coverage with PBY at Baker and are putting small garrisons ashore at a couple of islands which we still own south of Tarawa so we can do the same there. Given the game date we will also have better sub torpedoes for the upcoming battles.

I think the Katha area is going to get pretty exciting fairly quickly.
