I think if IJ is so rude as to force Chinese across a border, they can stay across the border.
I say give'm passports and forks.

Walter is fine with them moving some ways into Burma, he brought it up a few weeks ago. Until just now I have not had them moving to cross the border. I figured that last retreat would send them across but it didn't, so now I doubt they will reteat across the border. There aren't many left now.

You can always count on the IJN to have everything neat and tidy - including a picket line!

• The fleet is going to head through the gap between Majuro and Maloelap and approach Wojte from the south. This course is designed to confound maneuvering by both IJN subs and IJN carriers. The scout destroyers are low on 5 inch ammo due to enemy air attacks, so they will head back to Johnston Island to replenish. As they do so they will swing closer to Roi-Namur and hope to catch enemy ASW assets.

Our spies managed to dump a glass of water on Walter's laptop!

There were no sparks and, heroically, the turn in progress was saved!

It might be a little later until I get the turn.

OK, we got a turn.

Walter got the laptop dried out after he disassembled it, put it back together, and booted it up. A key was stuck and he couldn't even tell which one because it just filled up the password field with asterisks. After trying to un-stick the keys Walter went to plan B. He disconnected the keyboard and plugged in a desktop keyboard into a USB port. Voila!

Walter is the proud owner of Frankenstein's laptop.

INVADED
Urumchi, Taung Gyi are invested.

CHANGED OWNERSHIP

Overall

• Sync bug! Thankfully this time it seems reality was in our favor, as the ground combat at Urumchi was better and there were sweeps over Akyab which heavily favored us (again!).

West Coast USA, Alaska, Hawaii

• Only carriers and submarines are still being repaired at Pearl Harbor. Hornet has 35 days to go. Yorktown will spend 32 days pierside then wait until Hornet is finished before moving into dry dock.

Pacific

• We continue to run through the sub gauntlet.

• Likely a carrier battle tomorrow. Our own carrier groups are well spotted so the enemy should have a good assessment of our strength. Will they stay or will they go? Today they were 8 hexes from both Maloelap and Wotje. Perhaps they will still angle for a long range battle, and perhaps our westward movement will catch them.
