Is there a way to control which unit advances after successful attack?

I am a bit hazy on how advance is resolved, but if I remember correctly all attacking units will try to advance into the attacked hex UNLESS you have chosen "limited attack" for them. But in that case they only provide 50% of their attack power (and suffer half the losses they would otherwise).

Ok, will try, thank you. Would be a nice addition, if there was an option to control advance in "Plan attack" dialog.
