I have noticed that the Matrix site seems to be very slow taking posts or letting you change to another page at some times of day, much more so than usual. It used to be only in the wee hours of morning when they were obviously doing server maintenance, but in the last month it seems to be several times a day.
I blame Brexit!

Look at your Internet router for errors. Call your ISP. What ISP do you use.

You didn't download a bootleg copy of "Attack of the Clones" did you?

PS - I have a mouse nearing the end of its life expectancy and the left mouse button often gives a double click result when I press it once - i.e. it sticks. That sometimes brings up two posting windows or launches two copies of a program or opens and closes a window in the same click. It might be possible for a sticky mouse button to cause multiple posts before the board software cuts it off.

Posting this on behalf of Zuluhour,

He can't post on the forum anymore, technical team is apparently looking at the problem. He will be back soon (well, he'd better, we have a war to fight!)

How about your PC's network port? Maybe get a card ($20 - 30) with a replacement Ethernet port.

This definitely seems like a packet loss issue to me - something is causing your browser to send the same thing multiple times because it thinks it isn't sending. That's my hunch.

There are several culprits for packet loss. ISP to forum server connection, connection between your hardware and your ISP, your router's hardware, or your computer's hardware. Or your cord, if you're using one.

If you have no issues elsewhere (no lag on other sites, no lag in any online games or no weird lag when streaming any content) then the problem is likely between your ISP and the Matrix forums.

One way to test that might be to use a VPN service. That will set up a pipe between your PC and the VPN's exit point, so then you will be dealing with 'between the VPN exit and Matrix forums'.

You ran a Cat5 cable from your home PC all the way to work?!! Awesome idea! But check the areas where the bus runs over it ...

I believe the cord is a 100' footer, It starts at the Zulu HQ family room and winds it way through several passages
through CnCs office through a bedroom to Zulu HQs. I guess the 2 sets of 4 paws, 3 sets of 2 feet traverse the
secure line several times a day, occasionally, stepping on it. I abandoned the wireless connection years ago due
to frequent interruptions of my favorite live streams. I intend to revisit Best Buys again later in the week, hoping
they listened to me and transferred one in.

I don't know if technology has changed, but when I was working the computer techs told me that about 30 feet is the limit for reliability of the cable. Check online for advice on this stuff.

Cat 5 cable itself is pretty tough. I don't ever recall any crush issues. My Cat 5 is routed across one of the kitchen doorways with only a piece of carpet covering it and I have never had problems with the cable itself - just the wall jack connection and the junction box in the building's basement where a telco tech made a boo-boo and let another wire touch my connection.
