Can I just say a big thanks, along with everyone else, to Matrix and the whole team. My download on my poor old 28.8 modem took me over 20 hours and was completed last night but I am sure it is worth it. Cant wait to play. Noticed straight away that the balance of the unit costs has been altered and this has got to be a good thing. Previously in all the sp games I played opponents (and myself) rarely bought anything "heavy" such as a tiger or panther because they were simply too expensive a risk to take. One artillery hit or eagle eyed pilot and the expensive luxury was gone. Now the balance has been changed - a tiger comes in at just under 2 T34s and this is a big plus. Aircraft are very expensive and so they should be. Anyone else been mauled to death by the deadly Sturms or HS129s?? Infantry too on the whole are more costly. I have yet to play, but all this would seem to me to put the game back into a more reasonable balance. I look forward, at last, to facing tanks such as the kingtiger that I have NEVER faced before.
