Thought I might play the North African Campaign as no other games does it. !0 turns in - the Italian Juggernaught just chops up every Division I have - more like the opening moves of 1941 Russia playing the Russians. Turn 1 they annihalated a lot of 7 Armd, in my turn they were unmovable and they were surrounded and finished off next turn. I know I have a lot to learn in the game but seems nothing like historical.

Perhaps try another scenario...

What the Italians "destroy" is a very very small, totally outgunned border screen.(Think the Royal Marine detachment on the Falklands when the Argentines invaded). A few turns in there is a ceasefire for 20 turns or so as your reinforcements pile in as the allies which will wipe the floor with the Italians....and then the Afrika Corps show up.......and then it swings back again. The CFNA is a superb scenario and from what limited experience I have is very well balanced.

Have faith !

Oh, I got faith for sure... so will our Kamerad Newbie, I am certain about it. As for me... I don't have the time to play :( I spend more time on doing my research for the new tutorial session(s) :o

Currently on that scenario, don't be fooled. After the ceasefire, O'Connor's raid decimates the Italians..

One of the things I really like about playing these games is this. If something about it seems off it makes me read about the history that the scenario covers to see if my perceptions of what happened historically and in the game are what's really wrong.
