I finally picked this up after having eyed it for a long time. One of the things I’ve been particularly excited about it that is somewhat unique to CMANO is its ability to do robust simulations of nuclear warfare. I got Northern Inferno as well, so I was wondering, aside from that, what are some recommendations for particularly good nuclear war scenarios? I want to be shooting SRAMs at Soviet airfields or hitting the American coast with SLBMs, that sort of thing.

Off the top of my head:

Wargasm and Peeling the Onion are both early Cold War gone hot scenarios that involve a lot of nuclear weapons.

I was looking for a "red-october-like" scenario where a single top-notch soviet sub should have for a mission to sneak in US defenses and nuke a major city on the west, or on the east coast. Does it exist ?

A few similar themed scenarios are in The Silent Service

Thanks for the plug... I'm in the process of rewriting Wargasm '62 with fully targetable Soviet airfields, more Soviet infrastructure, a points-based scoring system, targets of opportunity orders via Lua scripts and improved Soviet air defence and intercept missions. The Player still cannot save Las Vegas (by design) but a comprehensive and well-planned counterforce strike with the first wave may just save some US cities later.

A tactical scenario I would recommend is Out of Meggido-The Battle of the Arabian Sea, 1973 by Mark Gellis

It isn't strictly a nuclear scenario, but you do have nukes and are free to use them.

Community Scenario Pack The 4th of July. It's all about nukes baby.

Just throw a Delta class SSBN and a Sturgeon class out there, with ASROCS. There's something entertaining about a one-on-one cat-and-mouse duel with nuclear weapons (as long as you're not really in it).
