What tactics have you put into place for the endgame?

As always, to die an honorable death....

Seriously I 'm after a massive perm point grab because I have found in my previous games I run out of:

1. V Points (after heavy Allied strat bombing) and

2. Supply and finally

3. Fuel

I usually still have fuel in the HIs when the game ends but the shortage of supply outside key cities in Japan severely degrades an active defence.

I will also heavily fortify the inner core of islands around japan to prevent them being utilised as air bases for the assault on Japan eg Okinawa, Iwo Jima etc.

Get's trickier when working out what to do with Formosa and the PIs.

Pretty well Pax, 2 more months and I should be able to break into the open plain around Chungking.

Southern China

Not after territory here, just trying to smash up Chinese formations. The big push is up north

Ah, going in through Xian. That's what I was curious about. Thanks!

Alas, this great game has finished somewhat prematurely.

Look forward to playing Mike (a great opponent and a top bloke) down the track when the opportunity arises again.

Will start looking for another experienced Allied player to start the adventure again. Any ideas/ suggestions from the forum ???

Must have something to do with my thread

Surrender is not quite the right word but sort of in a round about way. The game just became unplayable for the Allies due to all of their forces ending up on the West Coast

Surrender is applicable.

There is no way I could recover before India was conquered. NJP's feint as it was, was masterful ;]

Nathan,

I would be willing to play as Allies if you are willing to try one of the mods that John 3rd and I have been developing. There is BTS, BTS Lite, and slightly different BTS Lite that has the new Niitaka Class CAs (6) come in as Fiji Class CBs with 6 x 12" guns. Your choice of mod if your interested.

Michael

I played an earlier version of BTS vs John 3rd that got to early '43. He was overwhelmed with 3 games so he went with just his game against Canoerebel. So, I've learned from John's hyper-expansion in '42 that had him capture all of Hawaii and eastern Pacific down to Tahiti and all of western Australia. If Nath wants to do it against me, I should be better prepared....I hope!

Edit: I just played Japan until Christmas '43, so I know that side better than most with these mods.
