I'm posting this update to CFNA because I've discovered that there is a bit of a bug in the one that launched with the game.

FYI, Your zip file has folder structures pointing to \Program Files (x86)\...

Not a problem for me, BUT others may have troubles if they are unfamiliar with their relocation methods or usage of extraction methods.

Thanks for the updates!

Hi Curtis, what is the bug? If I install this update, will it work on an existing game?

Thx in advance.

The short answer is that there is a bogus Axis supply point in Mersa Matruh.

The long answer is that there are bogus supply points all over the place in most of my scenarios. I had the bad break of modifying most of them just as the editor was experiencing this screwy bug. I've corrected them, and they will be in the next update. Most of the bogus supply points don't have any impact on their scenarios though (most are on deep water hexes). But this one will really screw up CFNA so I've posted the fix publicly.

As for games in progress, installing this will not have any effect. The only suggestion I can make about existing games is for players to make a "gentleman's' agreement" for the Axis player to not capture Mersa Matruh until he captures Alexandria. The Commonwealth player would have to agree not to use the Mersa Matruh anchorage as a back door to the Axis lines, as well.

Hi Chris,

I actually captured Mersa Matruh about 4 or 5 turns ago. I noticed it was a supply point for the Axis which I thought was strange as it was never used as such given the allies command of the sea historically.

Rommel always had a decision to make re supplies, Benghazi or Tobruk. Tobruk meant getting his supplies to the front quicker and not having the extra wear and tear transporting them from Benghazi, but it was a far more dangerous route for the ships.

Do the Italian Coastal Defence guns (especially at Tobruk) work now too?

Well, I separated them into their own formation, and made that formation non-garrison. So, we'll see.

Cool and the gang! Thanks Curtis, that might deter the Royal Navy a bit more.
