Status: offline 		And the hammer blows have started in the southern part of the Central Front. Our glorious counterattack shattered a German Infantry division and roughly handled two more. The spires of Kursk were in our sights until desperate German forces moved in to plug the gaps. Still, there may be more gas left in our offensive yet.

Status: offline 		Finally Comrades, in the deep south the capitalist toadies push forward, but at tremendous cost. Our fortifications and the encouragement of Marshal Zhukov are costing them dearly. They did manage to pry us out of one fortified hex north of Rostov but only by shedding oceans of mercenary Hungarian blood.

Members of the Politburo, I propose a new policy in the south. No counterattacking unless the target is crystal clear. Our reckless attacks this month have been mere throws of the dice without a real hope of success and have served to only to weaken us for the enemy attacks. We should also find the traitor who first suggested such reckless attacks and deal with him as appropriate. Members of the Politburo, do you agree? YES COMRADE STALIN.

Good, now I must ponder.

One begins to suspect that the German line is creaking. As a consequence, I've ordered another of our armies to adopt an offensive posture! Members of the Politburo, do you agree? And, our generals seem to be unable to move quickly enough to make concentric attacks. There is no room for retreat with Rostov right behind us. Not one step back comrades, not one step back!

The 76th infantry division, motivated by the true spirit of unconquerable Marxist/Leninist thought, have fought through and cut the fascist supply lines in the south! As a consequence, we have reports of Hitler's tired legions withdrawing westward in a line from Kursk almost to Rostov.

Members of the Politburo, I propose promoting the 76th division to the title of 1st Red Guards Division for it's glorious service to the International Revolution, do you agree? YES COMRADE STALIN, ALL HAIL THE FIRST RED GUARDS DIVISION. SMASH THE FOE!

Status: offline 		Comrades, even though the German Ninnyhammers continue to press forward they do so at their peril. A reinforcing army is arriving in Rostov as we speak. With German supplies at a low ebb and mud approaching from the West we may well be able to hold the town. The workers and peasants volunteer as one to continue to dig new entrenchments around the city while Zhukov continues to hold the line.

The clock is ticking herr hitler, the clock is ticking!

I have it on good authority that the Japanese will not be attacking us in Siberia so our divisions from there are on their way to the Moscow front as we speak.

Status: offline 		Comrades, in the North the Capitalist Cacafuegos are learning to rue their idle boasts of wintering in Leningrad. We continue to hold the key towns of Narva and Luga which help to keep the Finns at bay. These towns are on the front lines and will resist to the last breath!

Remember Comrades, it takes a very brave man to be a coward in the Red Army!

While I see to it that the wreckers and spies are cleared out of the weather forecasting collective it appears that the Capitalists have purchased control of the weather and there has been no rain in Russia for 16 days here in October! As a consequence, Hitler's Milksops are renewing their push on Rostov and Stalingrad. They are paying a heavy price but inching ever closer. We have two fresh armies in the South but we're not out of the woods yet!

We liberated the town from under the heel of the capitalist boot and our brave Red army held it against desperate counter attacks. We even notice the presence of a division of Spanish toady's in the line. Clearly Hitler is scraping the bottom of the barrel and draining the fascist swamp of any and all of its supporters so that they may die the death here in the cradle of the Revolution that they so richly deserve!

In the center our offensive is bending the Germans back upon themselves. Their hated motorized divsions are stuck and can't move and we've been able to push forward.

Status: offline 		And Comrades, our glorious factories, the breeding grounds of our revolution have started to produce weapons that we can use to destroy the Hitlerites. Here, for example, is the new artillery support we can assign to a chosen breakthrough division [gives a +40% to combat power for one turn].

We also have armored brigades we can assign to support a division that already has armor and our Soviet air force has recovered enough that we can set up an air defense zone to reduce the effect of fascist air support.

I know that I promised this four days ago, but the traitors in charge of the supported divisions had mealy mouthed excuses about "lack of AP points" and "heavy mud." Trust me Comrades, those generals are now digging coal in the arctic with their bare hands. I think we've made our point.
